It’s okay, I was brought here for lunch with my mom & she likes it a lot. I have had way better in CO & MN for the same price or less with more vegetation options like tofu. If they had tofu, I would give another star. The waitress seemed upset, so the service was mediocre. I wouldn’t go back unless again someone else took me.

12/31/24 – Returned for lunch. It was ok but lacking. I ordered Yu Hsiang Pork. The flavor was nice but the meat was very fatty. About a 1/3 of it was gristle. The serving of rice was dry and small. The crab rangoon aren’t it. The rangoon have large air pockets, and the filling tastes like flavored cream cheese. I may order something different.
Went for lunch. It was ordinary. The hot and sour soup had a good flavor. The egg drop soup was basic. The crab rangoon were ok. They used to be awesome. The chicken and broccoli was too salty, and the chicken felt overly velveted. The eggroll was nothing special.

The food is out of this world. Haven’t been here for years and finally gave it a shot again. Wow! Hot, fast, and flavorful. If you’re here for conversation, this isn’t there place for you. Just eat and go. So good!!

Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant!! I live in Arizona which the Chinese I had tried out there is awful! Nothing compares to Hong Kong. I always order sesame chicken, egg drop soup, & hot tea. When I fly into Iowa to visit friends and family. This place is a must have every time I visit!! The only con thing I would say is the service is really slow now it used to be better and they don’t always pick up the phone for take out order. My little brother and I wanted take out originally but called 3x as no one picked up so we just ate inside.

Crab Rangoon was good, everything was good but I had gotten the beef w/ broccoli. The beef tasted spoiled, didn’t think much of it, I seen some that were still slightly pink and then I found a maggot or grub worm in the food.
I searched the plate numerous times looking for another or any bit of seasoning that could look like this little guy but nothing was found.
I have a picture of it whole, Definitely a bug, Definitely can see legs, tail and head. Wasn’t living, but i squished it to makesure and it also squished like a bug.
We mentioned it to the waitress, she told the manager. On the bright side at least I got that plate for free.
Me and a buddy of mine left and we are now feeling sick, he also had beef in his food as well. Not sure if it’s just the acknowledgement of the bug or the spoiled meat.

Always enjoy it, crab rangoons good as always, service was fine. Good was fast, but we were the only ones on a Friday at 5:30. Afraid it won’t be around much longer. I guess people are too easily offended by their “attitude.” They can tell insults at me the whole meal if it’s that good and fast.
