Our family went here for evening dinner. Luis is our first time here. It appears to be a family-owned restaurant with very friendly service. That’s very attentive. The all-you-can-eat catfish was clean-tasting and delicious. We really enjoyed the beans. My daughters could not get enough.The pickles were delicious. I really like this sweet pickles, which unlike most sweet or buttery pickles were actually really crispy. Thinking back, I regret not buying a jar of the counter on the way out. My steak was cooked perfect medium rare. Our server named Ella, did a fantastic job. We will definitely be back.

Friendly, family-owned lake-front restaurant with a simple menu – steak or fish – and a breathtaking view of Lake Claiborne. You can’t go wrong with either choice on the menu! Drinks are served in big 32oz “bubba” cups. Homemade bean soup, coleslaw, hush puppies, and mouthwatering pickles are served to everyone family-style. Food is delicious! Service is some of the friendliest around! And don’t forget to order a slice of pie or cake for dessert….it’ll change your life!

Won’t be returning. My family and I have been going to Port Au Prince over the years and has never had an issue. However our last experience was a bitter sweet one. The food was ok, when we tried to get a second order of fish it came rather slow, ok no problem, what I’m not happy with is the fact we never saw our ticket until it was time to pay, therefore we couldn’t verify charges, our waiter said he left ours up front with the cashier so when we went to pay the bill, they hit us with 156$ bill and we couldn’t verify if it was correct so I have to ask what was the charges why others were waiting to check out (embarrassing) so turns out they added a $20+ gratuity to our bill which I was never able to confirm the exact amount he said they automatically charged 15% for a party of 6 which is fine, except our party of 6 included a 2 yr old baby in which they said they weren’t charging for. TIPS is….TO INSURE PROPER SERVICES, providing a ticket to our table would also be considered services. So I’ll respectfully pass on this place next time I want to take my family out.

We enjoyed a rainy day at the beautiful state park nearby and decided on this place for dinner. We showed up around 7pm on a Saturday and this place was hopping, but they seated the two of us quickly. First of all, their sweet pickles are INCREDIBLE. I’m not even much of a pickle guy, but they were like candy. We both got the fish and it was great. We also enjoyed all of the sides – the bean soup was a highlight. Service was also great. Fast and friendly.
This is a special place. I highly recommend you patronize this restaurant.

One of my favorite new restaurants in the area! Family owned for many years. Beautiful, peaceful setting looking out over Lake Claiborne. Very simple menu: All you can eat catfish or steak. Both very delicious! They bring out bean soup, hush puppies, coleslaw and pickles to start while waiting for your main meal. Very friendly wait staff and food comes out quickly. Would highly recommend to both locals and visitors!

MAKE A RESERVATION We did not but luckily they had just opened so we were able to get a spot. This place is POPULAR and we now know why. We had the all you can eat family style catfish. I am gluten free so they had a separate plateful of fish and fries fixed and marked gluten free. I was thrilled and had no issues. Really great wait staff. They are fast fast fast getting refills and plates of food out. Everyone in our party left nearly miserable because the food is just that good. The beautiful views are just a bonus!
