Small, but clean restaurant with friendly, fast service. The food was not quite what I expected – the sauces were sweeter than anticipated and not very spicy – but everything was fresh, hot and plentiful.
The quality of the chicken in the General Tso’s was very high and the breading did not overwhelm the meat. The fried rice was basic, egg and a few veggies, but the portion was huge and not too dry. The fried dumplings were delicious and filling.
Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant obviously does a brisk carry out business. Serveware is geared toward carry out – plastic and Styrofoam, but that was fine. It was well worth stopping.
It’s 50 or more miles from home so Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant may not become a regular stop. I’ll drop in if I’m in the neighborhood, though. There’s a lot of menu left to explore.

A nice little place obviously mostly doing takeout orders these days but we ate in the restaurant. Service was excellent, food was good, though sweeter than is my preference. Overall, no complaints and it was a pleasant experience.

Had lunch there for the first time today. The food was good, it was fresh and hot, and large portions. The people working were very nice. Yes, it’s mostly takeout I believe, but my friend and I sat at a table and enjoyed our meal & another individual had his meal there. Seemed very clean.

I visited the restaurant for the second time yesterday and was not disappointed. The ladies who took my order were very friendly, and my order was correct. I ordered the Tangerine chicken with vegetables and rice, shrimp egg rolls, and hot and sour soup.
The portions were large and tasted great, but as usually my eyes were bigger than my stomach! I was very satisfied, and will continue to patronize this restaurant.

Ordered tangerine beef, chicken lo mein, and French fries. Our order also came with a soup or egg roll. The tangerine beef was delicious. The tangerine sauce was the perfect consistency. The flavor was great. It didn’t over power the beef flavor. It had a little bit of spiciness to it. I think it could have been spicier. The chicken lo mein was scrumptious. The noodles and chicken were cooked perfectly and blended well with the seasoning. I also ordered fries because when I’m hungry first thing I think about is fries. They were also good. The wanton soup is also great. The wantons were perfect. The little scallions in the soup add a great flavor. Overall the food was cooked well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

First time eating here. I’ve been in this area for over a year and haven’t found one Chinese restaurant that was good until now. The food here is awesome. It reminds me of the better ones closer to inside the perimeter. We ordered tangerine chicken, shrimp and vegetables, fried dumplings, and shrimp egg rolls (which I highly recommend). They allowed me to sub my regular fried rice to shrimp fried rice and my girlfriend to sub her rice for veggies. Most Asian restaurants don’t allow it, and it frustrates me, but this location does. If you spend $35.00, you get a free appetizer, which is cool. The food tasted great, could tell it was made from scratch. The shrimp egg rolls were full of shrimp and didn’t taste like the flash frozen egg rolls that were just thrown in the grease. I’m going to become a regular now!

Tried this place, because it had 4.4 stars and our other Chinese Restaurant was closed. Wow..reviews didn’t lie. Friendly staff, able to eat in or take to go. We got a free appetizer for ordering over $35. Service and Food was quick. We had Hot and Sour Soup, Crab Ragoons, Chicken Wings (X-Hot and Hot) chicken skewers, and Walnut Shrimp. Would of been 5 stars but asked for vegetable fried rice and got just regular rice.. no biggie, was still good just not what I ordered. I will go back food was really good.

Absolute perfection! I live in an area with endless options of food, but somehow I keep ending up back here. Everything I have tried from Hong Kong at this location has been the absolute best I ever had! It doesn’t even matter what I order. Honestly, this restaurant is a reason to never move. I’m so grateful I checked this place out a few weeks ago. I’ve been back 4 times already!
