I visited honest star to order take out, and I was very impressed with their customer service. They made a mistake on my order, and didn’t find out until I got home. Went back to complain, and they offered to give me a refund on the Yam porridge that wasn’t to my satisfaction, and they also gave me the correct food. I’m writing this because most African restaurants would NEVER do this. So I appreciate the gesture. Although I would have loved not to have to drive another 30 minutes to get it fixed, but I’m thrilled with their response. The Ayamase I ordered is really tasty! The Jollof definitely can be better to taste more authentic. Well done to the managing team. Continue to improve on your food and service.

I like the place. I have been there many many times in the past and I have always picked the vegetable soup. I give the vegetable soup a 5 stars in a heartbeat. However, I decided to try something today and it was not so great. I will hope it was just a miss. I will give it another try one of these days and will give my final rating on their egusi soup.

Placed my order to find out after 30min that they don’t have it anymore for the day. I gave five stars because of the customer service I got after they messed up. Made me feel that they were genuinely sorry. I eventually chose some else, long story short the food was 6/10 but 10/10 customer service.

It’s hard to review because I’m not use to African food. It was good food but my fish had all the bones inside. I didn’t like that. The prices are above average but service was great and everything is fresh.

Food was delicious. Service was extremely slow. I’d recommend you call ahead. Was told 25 minutes for my order to be ready. It took around 45-50 minutes. Ordered okra soup with fish and pounded yam. My 3rd time having it for I live in Athens.
