Reviews for Homemade Heaven … Delicious homemade lunch. Fresh baked bread leads to tasty sandwiches. We tried a turkey sandwich and a roast beef sandwich.

The best Veggie Sandwich I ever had! Freshly baked warm French roll with that great yeast smell of homemade bread – like the kind you may have made in elementary school. They take the time to finely chop the ingredients in the sandwich to create the best flavor while eating. The sauces on the sandwich are delicious too. I had the outstanding sweet potato chips that where super thin and light that came with a fabulous brown dipping sauce. You must try this place if you appreciate great food.

Don’t come here if you want something fast. Definitely homemade and made from scratch. It took 56 minutes to get 4 sandwiches. The sandwiches were good/average. It’s two ladies running the place alone. No employees. The lady at the front was nice and was trying her best but very slow.

Delicious homemade lunch. Fresh baked bread leads to tasty sandwiches. We tried a turkey sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. Followed by tasty soup options. Might be the best soups we’ve had in awhile. When back in town we will definitely frequent this place for lunch again. One note…they are cash only. Luckily we had enough cash on hand for lunch and tip.

We had the most surreal experience when we stopped here for lunch while traveling. The lady wouldn’t let me use the bathroom prior to ordering. We convinced her we were there to eat lunch, so she finally let us go. We ordered and she said CASH ONLY. We didn’t see the business-size sign on the door and she was mad we had used the bathroom. Said we had to pay her $5 for her expensive towels and supplies. She was VERY RUDE. Not Heaven!

Stopped here on our way through Nebraska. Really glad we stopped. Sandwiches were large and delicious. Bread and meat were very fresh. The two ladies in the shop were funny, accommodating, and all-around a pleasure to interact with.

We stopped on our way thru, as we try to skip the chain restaurants. The person working the front was quite rude. My husband asked me to order for him, as he needed to use the restroom. She said he couldn’t use it until he paid for all our order, as it was for paying customers only. I had cash in my hand. WTH? She proceeded to tell my son what he should be ordering. Then, we needed a to go box and she wouldn’t come outOn my way! Out when we rang the bell. Keep on traveling by this place. Not worth your time.

It was ony top ten of sandwiches I am going to crave in the future. The bread was really good, and it was a little slow but it was only one person working outside of the kitchen. Totally worth it, even though it was a little pricey.

If you want a sandwich and a 1hr wait, when there’s hardly anyone else in the restaurant, then this is your place. Oh, and it’s cash only with no ATM (not that that’s a bad thing – just letting people know)

Sandwiches made to order, it may take a little longer to get your order but it is worth it. A gem in Cozad, unassuming in every way

Lovely people and easy-going setting. Perfect comfort food on a wintery day. Prices do seem a bit high (over $10 for a plain grilled cheese sandwich and cup of soup). One odd thing I noticed was that at lunchtime all the female customers (myself included) were 6 feet tall or more. It was a strange convergence of tall ladies, curious if that was a one-time thing or a regular occurrence in Ogallala.
