Our group has been in OBX two days and so far we have only visited Holy Cow TWICE, so our experience may be limited.
The ice cream flavors are premium plus. Bourbon Fig? Come on man I don’t stand a chance here. I’m a big fan of ice cream. I’m just in love with this ice cream. This is approaching modern art.
Unique ingredients and excellent professional craftsmanship make these flavors so unique you feel sad you don’t live here.
The parking lot is small so I think in high season it would be challenging, but in September it was pretty easy. The staff was the same two young men both times we visited. Both times they were great. They were happy to let us sample different flavors and find the one we wanted. Answer: all of them.

Very yummy ice cream although the environment isn’t the best due to this size of the store but that’s not their fault- I had a mint chip ice cream and it tasted very nice :)) if you like cold stone you’ll like them

WOW‼️ More, PLEASE ‼️ Yummy delicious! Lots of cool and interesting flavors and mixes! I am NOT a pumkin spice kinda gal. But, if they have it, try the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream!! You will not be sorry! It’s delicious!! So are the strawberry cactus and cookie monster! The luminous cheesecake ice cream is creamy and flavorful, with big chunks of cheesecake!! If the line is out the door, wait!! It moves fast and it’s worth the wait. Holy Cow, keep doing what you’re doing!! We will be back again!!

This place is so unique. If you’re from out of town and looking for something more unique than the standard ice cream shop back home, come here!
As soon as we walked in, the young ladies running the front counter were super helpful and gave us a bunch of samples to try because there are so many unique flavors.
They told us we came at a great time of year(late September) because the main summer months especially around the holidays, the line is out the door because they get so many customers.
We got a “first flight” 6 full size scoops of different flavors, bourbon fig, bell Helene, Irish crunch, strawberry cactus, holycow, and death by chocolate. Strawberry cactus and bourbon fig were our favorites but they were all so good. I wish I had taken a picture for the review but I forgot because I was so busy enjoying the experience and ice cream

Holy Cow! Great ice cream shop on a hot summer day at the beach. The line was out the door! Very popular. Great flavor selection and options. Limited parking but worth the walk if parking off site.

This place is great! They have a big selection of flavors, and they are homemade. We really enjoyed the creaminess and flavor of the ice cream and waffle cone. I got the berry lavender, and it was more berry than lavender, the lavender was very subtle.

HOLY COW is right! This creamery is awesome! They have a ton of flavors, customer service was fantastic, and overall a great ice cream shop.
I’ve actually never been to an ice cream shop that was absolutely packed and was served within 5 minutes, had my ice cream a minute later, and checked out in 2 minutes (we had 8 people within our order). We were greeted by who I think was the owner and he told us the ice cream was homemade and then we were asked our order and we’re on our merry way.
The parking lot is small, the inside is small (no tables) but there are some seats outside. If you’re within walking distance we’d highly recommend taking the trip.
All 8 of us enjoyed our ice cream – they have tons of flavors for everyone and supporting local is always nice. We will definitely be back while on vacation!

I liked the selection of flavors but I would love to see more unique options. I opted for the strawberry cactus ice cream which was good. Prices were on the high side, but decent for the area. The parking lot was at capacity and the line was out the door.

Good ice cream but a but of a conundrum, it has mostly unusual flavors and combinations which adds to it appeal but the unusual make it difficult if you are a traditionalist. I had the berry lavender after getting a taste. It was good but I prefer some of the New England creameries with Rich Farms in Oxford CT my favorite

Love this place. We tried a couple of ice cream shops around the area and Holy Cow is the best one. Flavors are amazing and you can taste the fresh ingredients, not artificial flavoring. Phenomenal. Also love the level of sweetness, just enough, not too sweet.
Staffs there were so friendly and welcoming as well. Highly recommend
