I saw this restaurant on a Instagram post and I was curious. While celebrating my 50th birthday with family of 7 people. , I chose to try this new place. And let me tell I am overly impressed from the above and beyond customer service to the mouthwatering food. They was kind, courteous. They made sure we were fine and that our meals was top tier

This food is so delicious it’s a shame! When I tell you everything was amazing! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Some of these reviews don’t match what I had. This place beats every soul food place in Greensboro. As a foodie I’ve tried them all. The macaroni and cheese delicious. The collard greens delicious. The rolls amazingly delicious! Yams too good! I’m glad I tried it inspite of the negative comments. I didn’t need no sauce. I normally love sauce. After one bite, I put that sauce to the side. They were really nice and my food was fresh and ready. The prices are great and there’s plenty of parking. It is a little difficult to find. The GPS told me I was there but wasn’t. You have to go upstairs inside the part that says mall. I highly recommend and I will be back! My son and his wife are ready to try it! I’m telling everyone I know! Mrs. Glonda your food is the best ever! Thank you for opening! O yea that lemonade and cake goodness so delicious yummy!

I ordered the fried chicken dinner.. That came with two sides and a drink (canned soda) . I chose the Mac and Cheese and Candied Sweet Potatoes for my sides and ordered an extra side of collard greens and got a side of the ooey gooey cake. I also got a cup of the Gumbo
If you are familiar with my reviews, I try my best to be completely transparent. This time won’t be any different
Upon walking in I was a little underwhelmed by the food court experience. The atmosphere is dry, not much traffic and it shows… Glonda’s is definitely the light of the food court.. You can tell the staff has worked really hard to make this place feel like home! The smells are amazing and the staff is so friendly!
The young lady that took our orders was very kind and polite and Mr. Clarence stole the show with his bubbly personality and smile! He is truly a gem and you can see by his demeanor that he takes pride in what he makes
The Fried Chicken w/ Miley Sauce – the fried chicken was very enjoyable! Not too much breading, not too much seasoning.. just right and fit into the category of homestyle! The sauce was a perfect compliment to the chicken!
Mac and cheese- the macaroni and cheese was good. Did have to add a little salt and pepper for taste and the noodles were a but overcooked in MY opinion.. not awful but just a little bland for me
Collard Greens – the collard greens were enjoyable. Clarence told me that they were vegan which was very surprising based on the taste I would not have known! Would order them again
Candied Sweet Potatoes – were under cooked and could have used a touch of cinnamon and maybe a thicker glaze. The juices were thin and lacked the flavor I know they can achieve.. This can definitely be worked out and I would be willing to try them again
Gumbo – the gumbo was really good! Seemed chicken based. Had a nice kick to it, some shrimp definitely would have set it off with the crab meat that’s already included! Would definitely return for it on a colder day
Ooey gooey cake- the cake was VERY sweet but good! I got it home paired it with some ice cream and it was great
Overall, my experience at Glondas was very pleasant and fulfilling. I do plan to return to try a few more dishes! Keep doing what you are doing! Always glad to support black business that love us back!

Food was great! Wait was a little long, we waited about an hour long. You definitely should call ahead if you’re able to. The atmosphere was interesting, I had a hard time finding the place so I had to call but they were glad to help me via phone. The wings were tasty with the Miley sauce and ranch! I will definitely come back but probably earlier in the day. I loved that they gave free refills too because the drinks were yummy!

Ordered mac and cheese and yams for one of the meals, and this is what the gave me. I’m pretty sure they ran out of mac and just threw whatever they had left in the container because that’s not even a full side of yams. I tasted the mac from my husbands plate and it was disgusting anyway but if you run out of something you should let the customer know.

The food was Alright I ordered the Whiting But when I got home to eat it It wasn’t whiting It was flounder. Although it was seasoned well. Mach and cheese needed a bit more of something I don’t know if it was cheese or seasoning. The cabbage was seasoned ok A bit too much pepper And needed to be cooked more. The yams were flavorful But tasted like it was store bought yams and not fresh. I’ll try the chicken next time I Guess. In all the wait time is long cause I guess they need another cook cause It was only one per frying all that chicken and fish. I Really I think they cook the food once a person orders Cause the wait time is not Soo great there was a man that said he was waiting for almost an hour. I waited about 45 min. In all I give it a score of 6 out of 10

The food it is so good. It’s hard for me to find really good soul food spots that all the food is actually good because, Im a excellent cook myself, and a beast at cooking soul food but I can say this place is a hit. I ordered the pork chops, the mac & cheese, the collards and yams, and every single item was so delicious. The pork chops was very well seasoned, flavorful and juicy. The macaroni was very good. The right amount of cheese and flavor and the collards were on point season perfectly and the yams Was such a sweet delight. This place is new, but honestly this place is best soul food restaurant in Greensboro so far! 5 stars for the hospitality and food! I will be back!

This was my first time trying this place, and I honestly expected way more based on the advertising.
I ordered the wings with the Miley sauce, but they barely looked like they had any sauce on them at all. The flavor wasn’t strong, and it didn’t stand out as a good wing flavor. The mac and cheese was very bland — no real taste and no cheese pull. The yams were hard, and the collard greens were extremely oily with too much grease.
The staff was very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the food did not meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on my experience.
