Everything in this place was awesome. This is an excellent and authentic Indian restaurant. Their meats are halal also, which is a surprise especially considering the area. It’s probably the only authentic Indian restaurant in the area as well, compared to only one another Indian restaurant.
I ordered the chicken korma which came in a delicious cashew sauce and wasn’t spicy. For those who don’t like too spicy. My husband ordered the lamb vindaloo which was very flavorful and very spicy.
The ras malai was the only dissapointment. It needed to be served in a bowl, and it had too much condensed milk. Could’ve easily been a frozen item. They can definitely improve upon it.
Other than that the food was great and will be going back.

Exciting, delicious, and fun are the words that come to mind when I think of a meal at Holi. The food is exotic, artfully prepared, with flavorful spices, and comes as spicy or mild as you like. They are happy to serve their dishes family-style so you and your group can each try a bit of everything. They do have a kid’s menu, and also have vegetarian options, if that’s your speed. Full bar separate from the dining area. Classy, but reasonably priced. If you aren’t familiar with Indian food, it’s usually a meat with a flavorful, rich gravy, served with rice–think of it as exotic comfort food!

Great spice food spanning the Indian subcontinent. Friendly service and nice deco.

The location of this restaurant does not do it justice as it is tucked away (practically hidden) behind a Waffle House that is easily accessed from Ross Clark Circle.
Because the location has been several different types of food joints all of which have been a bit dark and dreary, I was pleasantly surprised when I entered. The first thing I noticed was the clean and vibrant atmosphere.
The meal was more than dinner but rather fun and informative. Because I am not familiar with Indian food, I asked the server for input. She was incredibly helpful in explaining the flavors and tastes to mean in other foods of which I can relate.
On the table is a list of different spices commonly found in Indian food along with its place of origin and health benefits. It was quite intriguing. The food was GREAT! Everything tasted fresh and made to order.
One of the managers checked on the table to see how everything was at which time we were extremely complementary. He suggested, given we were not familiar with Indian foods and flavors, to come when they offer a buffet so to explore other food items. What a great idea!!
There was Bali music (ever so lightly) and videos playing on a TV in the distance (non-intrusive) that added a nice touch to the experience.
I will certainly be back!

Personally enjoy the staff. They are quiet but friendly. Which is great when wanting to eat and talk with the company you have brought with you. The food is very similar and almost exactly like the Indian cuisine shown in travel shows and certainly traditional as they say it is. Nothing on the menu is disgusting in anyway. Especially if you already enjoy Indiana cuisine

I usually eat here at least once a week. I love it! The servers are all amazing and attentive. They take the time to answer questions and if they don’t know the answer, they will find it.
They have a lunch buffet on Sundays and while it’s my favorite, I’ve never been disappointed ordering from the menu.
My biggest worry is that they aren’t very busy. It must have something to do with their location, bc the food is amazing.
If you’re looking for something new to try, go to Holi Indian Cuisine, you will not be disappointed.

Staff is very friendly, food is good. Never really really busy but I tend to go in later towards the end of the lunch buffet time. My only concern is that dishes can vary in spice from visit to visit. One time it will be perfect the next time it can be a bit too spicy. Other than that awesome!

My husband and I love Indian food and we’ve been here twice in the last three weeks. The food is so delicious and have many options to explore. Our favourites so far include the samosa and lamb saag.
My only critiques would be that during our first visit, the dining area was very chilly, and sometimes the servers are overly anxious about asking if everything is ok. But they are extremely friendly and helpful with the menu.
Would definitely recommend!!

Where else can you get legit middle eastern style food in lower Alabama? Especially legit middle eastern style food that taste good? This is the only place I have found that offers that with good food and reasonable prices. Their portions are fair, not overwhelming nor underwhelming, and very flavorful. The staff is friendly and helpful, with good knowledge of the menu and ability to explain complex flavors and textures easily. They are located in a little alcove off the circle in a shared strip mall parking lot. Make the journey, it is worth the trip.
