I photographed a wedding in October of 2025 and Granny’s Restaurant catered for it. And DELICIOUS is an understatement. From the chicken, candied yams, cornbread, Mac and cheese. I usually am given a humble meal while I work a wedding, but I felt like I was given more than enough!
Everything was cooked to perfection, the staff was friendly, and everyone was satisfied!

I stopped by Granny’s restaurant yesterday and really enjoyed the food overall. The chicken wings were amazing, crispy and full of flavor. The mac and cheese was also great, creamy and satisfying. The only thing that fell short was the mashed potatoes. They looked and tasted like they were from a box, not homemade like the menu advertised. Even with that, I really liked the place and I will definitely go back when I’m in the area for work.

the reason I am giving this restaurant low scores is because the service can be atrocious.. I recently when to pick up my online order only to have the 2 ladies completely disregarded me nor acknowledge me when i came in, while they were talking. After I had been there just waiting one lady finally looked at me and asked what was my name. After I stated my name the other lady grabbed my food and dismissively place it on the counter and continued her conversation with the other lady without acknowledging me even once. Great food, but i never can figure out for the life of me why some of these places have such horrible customer service. Will not be stepping foot in there again until they can genuinely fix that.

Excellent choice for dinner. Ambiance was great. Drinks were wonderful. Food portions were beyond enough. Restaurant “family”. Made you feel as family. We even got some Granny’s history. Wonderful to hear Granny lived to be 109. Trenton our server was excellent. Will definitely be returning. Loved it

I can’t believe I’m writing this review. I’ve been going to Granny’s for years. Before Covid and after. We had a taste for the food, so we took the drive and ordered online. Only to get there for pick up and be told they are pretty much out of everything. No warm greeting, no business friendly substitute, just we don’t have it and that’s it. Long story short. The food was horrible and I hope they get back to what made them #1. Wasted money and time. Very Disappointed!!

I wanted to try this place because I saw people from other states were coming to visit. I couldn’t believe that they only do take out because nothing on their website stated that. Nevertheless, we decided to order since we were in the area. The pick up took so long and we weren’t sure why since we came way after the estimated ready time. I regretted ordering the long Island iced tea. There was no soda and they put way too much iced tea that you couldn’t really taste the alcohol. Never again. We ordered chicken & waffles, blackened catfish, fried trout, shrimp and grits, peach & bourbon wings, mac & cheese, bread pudding, and brown sugar sweet tea. Most of the food was really good. The peach and bourbon wings were so good. However, we were supposed to get 15 but only got 10. The catfish was so small compared to the amount of trout we received. The brown sugar tea was way too sweet for me but my son liked it. The shrimp and grits stole the show. It was so rich and creamy. It was so much that we ate the rest the next day. The collard greens and mac and cheese were good too. The bread pudding was disappointing. It didn’t taste fresh at all. In all, we will definitely come back for the wings and try some other items.

Wings were amazing, mac and mash and carfish were good. The greens were seasoned with some kind of peppers (not my taste) dining partner enjoyed them though. Our server was about 79% attentive and did greet us but his name was learned when he introduced himself to a nearby table. Atmosphere is very chill reminds me of a church dining hall but very cozy.

My family of three had nothing but a positive experience all around! It’s not in the most attractive location; a strip mall surrounded by cul-de-sacs. But once you’re inside, you’re greeted with the brightest smiles.
If your dinner begins with a heart shaped cornbread, you know you’re in the right place. It was brittle to the touch and melted in your mouth; kernels of corn juggling to remind you it’s homemade.
Then the kid’s meal comes out in the cutest tray any restaurant with a kid’s meal can provide. Waffles were light and fluffy. A touch of powdered sugar. My kid devoured it.
Then our food comes out. Portions beyond HUGE. Four wings cooked to perfection, white to the bone. One waffle, large enough to eat one wing per quarter section. If they weren’t good enough, the collard greens were the highlight of the night. It was the best I’ve ever had. And the salty/sour flavor coincided with the sweetness of the syrup so well.
The best part of the evening was when we were driving home. Normally, when eating greasy wings and thick syrup, we feel disgusting and groggy as it digests in our system. But after Granny’s, we felt NOTHING. It was the cleanest feeling after such a heavy meal.
We’re coming back for the shrimp and grits!
