First time in for Luau night. Had their special on the board, Basil Shrimp Summer Rolls with Peanut Sauce. Very good. Tried their Crab Rangoons and Dragon Roll. Also very good. My wife enjoyed her Hawaiian Fried Rice. I ordered the Kalua Pork. Waitress didn’t put my order in and I had to get it at the end of dinner after I reminded her about it. Had to get it to go. It was pretty good except the pork was kind of dry. Mai Tai drinks and Lemon Martini tasted good with nice presentation.

I was really craving some Japanese ramen, so I hopped on Google to find a place. That’s when I came across Hoke Poke noodle bar in Hayesville, NC. After reading the reviews, it seemed decent, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” Even if it’s not authentic, I was hoping at least it would have a similar taste to the real deal.
So, my family and I went there to try it out. My husband and I both ordered the ramen bowl with pulled pork. I thought, “Pulled pork in ramen? That’s a first for me!” But I went ahead and tried it anyway. The kids got the chicken ramen, but when they tasted it, they said it was bland. I didn’t try theirs because I wanted to focus on my own dish.
When my ramen arrived, I first tasted the broth. It was decent, but it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. Then I tried the noodles, and honestly, I was disappointed. They were soggy, and the whole thing kind of reminded me of canned chicken noodle soup—definitely not the authentic experience I was hoping for.
That said, the service was great, and the atmosphere of the place was nice, so it wasn’t a complete miss. Oh, and their mocktails were on point! I had the hibiscus ginger lemonade, which I really enjoyed.
Overall, if you’re looking for authentic Japanese ramen, I wouldn’t recommend this place. But if you’re in the mood for something different, it might be worth a try.

I absolutely love Asain cuisine and just had to try this place! It’s a little place, with a huge amount of flavor!!! It’s a nice quiet spot for a great meal and totally worth the money!
Word up, Hayesville! The Hoke Poke doesn’t play!!! Absolutely the best Dragon Roll I’ve had in years, and the fried rice was delicately seasoned perfectly. Everything was fresh and delicious! The bar is perfect, too. What a great little find! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!!!

Julie greeted us as we came in. I loved the ambiance! The menu looked incredible. It was BOGO for tacos and my family recommended the fish taco and shrimp taco. The presentation was wonderful and the flavors were amazing! The tortilla had just the right crunch. I live in California and have had great tacos, but nothing like this! Will go again (hopefully) before I leave!
Highly recommend! And they have a beautiful porch in the back next to the creek and live music on weekends! Please give it a try!

Laid back and full of flavor! The two best attributes of any restaurant. And when I say “full of flavor,” it’s no joke. I recommend the Ramen bowl and Korean tacos. After the meal, get really laid back in the bar side of this hidden gem.

The restaurant itself is cute with a hippie vibe. The plastic ware wasn’t cool. Jocelin, our server, had little knowledge or real interest in her job. She never checked on us , never asked if our meal was good. When I said that the bill should be clear that there’s a credit card surcharge, like most other restaurants, she gave me a flippant response. The other three people at the table enjoyed their meals. I got the tuna poke bowl and the sweet spicy sauce overwhelmed the dish and made the rice a sopping mess. I doubt the server would have cared. I won’t be back.

Talk about surprised! This place is absolutely fantastic! I would have eaten here every day we were in town. SO FRESH and amazing options. Fried Rice (no picture taken) was so good and your sushi pyramid was fantastic. Our server was an absolute trooper as we sat out on the back patio and she is expecting a little one soon, but she ran food and drinks like a boss. Kudos!
