The ribs were the BEST part of our order. The chicken was nothing special and the pulled pork was sorta dry and tasteless. The staff who took our order was really friendly 🙂 The store was not crowded and very clean.

My wife and I are new to the area and decided to try Hog n Bones. We went at 5:00 on a Thursday. Walking in the establishment was clean. There was only one other couple inside. We were not greeted by the young gentleman taking our order. He was rude, condescending, and at one point laughed at us during our order. If my pregnant wife was not craving BBQ, this would’ve been enough for me to leave without even getting food. We were asking questions because we did not know or it was not clear and it was met with annoyance. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries and macaroni and cheese. We were told by the young man we only get one side. My wife attempted to order the extra side but never received it. After ordering my wife went to get us our sweet teas. Once I tried the sweet tea it was evident that it wasn’t sweet or tasteful. Actually the worst sweet tea experience I’ve had since living in the south for the past 26 years. We are in Georgia at a BBQ restaurant—I should never have to consider them having bad sweet tea. Our food arrives and I’m taken back by the BBQ sauce coming in plastic wrappers. I’ve never seen this before outside of a to go order at some places. I feel as if this is an ownership mistake for a BBQ joint but I’m not the business owner. The BBQ, fries, and coleslaw were all average to below average. The toast had enough garlic on it to kill a hoard of vampires. The place was very clean on the inside and no one was there so that was a positive. Sadly, we will not be back and I believe this business is lacking leadership and accountability. Hope others have a better experience!

We arrived at 230 on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all. We walked right up to place our orders and the food came out quickly, hot and fresh. Listennnnn…. their hot barbeque sauce is insanely great, I could squeeze it on every single thing I eat Any who, the bathroom was clean and the young lady checked on us several times to ensure we were good. A++

The service is typically pretty good. However that’s about where the positives end. My family and I have given this place several chances because of how good the one in Jesup(a couple towns over) is. However this place consistently gives us wrong items or just bad food. I’ve ordered the flaming chicken as it’s one of my favorites and even when asking for it to be swimming in sauce and paying extra they still put almost no sauce on the sandwich. The BBQ is dry and seems like it’s been sitting out from the day prior. I would not recommend this restaurant. There’s a lot more but this is already a long enough review.

First time coming here and what a great experience! Staff was very attentive took time to explain the menu so we could fully enjoy whatever we ordered. Portion were good size. Food had lots of flavor. I tried the Pulled pork sandwich with Onion pedals and potato salad. Restaurant was very clean and well kept. Would definitely repeat coming here and definitely recommend trying if you haven’t already.

Got fried chicken salad, it was a medium sized salad, not too bad; but it had less chicken on it then what I would think of as being two tenders. The lettuce was not very good or fresh either. The dressing was ok. The service was very quick and curt, not bad, just not very friendly. The atmosphere is like you’re run of the mill barbecue joint, think “barn chic Sonny’s”. I’m not a fan of barbecue, so I won’t rate them based off of it but I did taste my friends pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. This rating is based off of the food that I ordered and the service I received.

I came here and got a 2 meat plate and decided to go with the ribs and pulled pork and for my sides I went with Macaroni and cheese and fries. It also came with a type of garlic bread. For starters the restaurant was clean and the staff I interacted with was very attentive and friendly. So kudos for that. Now as far as food. My ribs and pulled pork was cold. Such a shame because the flavor and the way it was cooked showed promise that if I would have gotten it hot it would have been delicious. But it was still decent enough to eat cold. My fries were hot and tasty. However, the Mac and cheese was super bland and was the dud of the plate. The bread was warm, soft and tasty. Overall not a bad experience. I have had worse meals. I would recommend this place to be tried at least once.

Best barbecue I have eaten. Very reasonable prices for the great quality, clean and comfortable inside with an easy to understand menu with great selection and options. I got the pick 2. The drink selections are fantastic as there are alternatives to carbonated beverages and I really appreciated the tractor beverages.

Pulled pork was good, ribs fell off the bone delicious. The Mac and cheese was bland and not very cheesy. I didn’t eat it all. When they first open, the Mac and cheese was great.

This was out 1st and last time eating here. Just to start their tea was sour. Then they bring my husbands and my food but my 4 yr old had to wait for hers. We had to lather the pulled pork with sauce just to be able to eat some of it. The mac n cheese was bland. The stew looked like it had sat for hours and tasted horrible. All the tables were dirty and we had to wipe ours just to be able to sit and try and eat what they want to call food. Never again!
