Best damn fried chicken I’ve ever had!!! I did the dark meat friend chicken Thursday lunch special only $11- a thigh, drumstick, huge serving of authentic dirty rice and potato salad with a slice of French bread. So good! This place is a hole in the wall behind a bar, great spot for a quick lunch if you want authentic New Orleans fried chicken or poBoys. Service was super friendly too.

We hosted our Farewell Breakfast here almost ten years ago after our wedding and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. We were so excited to return to NOLA and to dine here again AND the food is still delicious and reasonably priced. This place is a gem and we will continue to eat here whenever we are in town. The owner is really nice too! I love supporting locally owned restaurants and I’m so happy this restaurant survived Covid.

We were greeted at the street by a very friendly blind man. He told us come in and look no further. Food was amazing!!! Service was friendly. You forced to make friends because dining room is small. Absolutely delicious!!!

The coffee was just excellent here! They have a wide variety of breakfast options which I really appreciated. The staff was friendly and professional, did not have to ask for refills. It’s a quality place, will be back with my wife for sure.

This place changed who I am as a person, on earth. Good people great food, came here four times in a week. Three times for breakfast, can’t go wrong but try the shrimp and grits. Also, came for lunch and had a shrimp po boy. Special.

The grits are excellent. Ham and cheese omelette was good but a little too cheesy. Food came out fast

Majority of reviews have covered it all – this place really is that good. I suspect this is the closest I would get to home-style New Orleans cooking.

Very terrible service. The lady that answered the phone, who claimed to be the manager/owner, was very rude, disrespectful, and extremely combative. Her behavior and attitude was down right nasty and despicable especially coming from the “owner”. Do not patronize this business. The food might taste good, but just know that you are not valued as a customer and neither is your earned money. They could care less; and if they don’t care about you, they don’t care about how they handle your food. Taste and preparation are not the same. Go where your business is appreciated and you are valued as a customer.
