We enjoyed our meal at Himalayan Kitchen. I don’t recall having had a Nepali meal before. If so, it was long in the past and I’ve forgotten it. It was a treat to try chicken momos and a dish of lamb noodles, two dishes my dining partner and I shared, with a basket of delicious naan. Our friends who had butter chicken and lamb korma said both were wonderful, too.
This restaurant is conveniently located if you’re visiting Salt Lake and staying at a hotel in the center of the city. If you arrive by car, you may find parking a challenge at some times of day, though we had no problems finding a parking space between 5-6 P.M. last evening.

I had a wonderful experience at Himalayan Kitchen! I came with my partner, and we both loved the food , everything was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and served fresh and hot. A special thank you to Pandey for the excellent service friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. I tried the Saag Chicken, vegetable rice, and tandoori roti with mint chutney. All the dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. The restaurant was clean, and the view outside offered a nice glimpse of downtown Salt Lake City.

We went to this restaurant for the first time. We ordered samosas, vegetarian momo, chicken jhol momo, and milk tea. Everything was delicious and freshly made. As a first timer at Salt Lake City, the food reminded us home. I took a picture but after we ate. You can see how we have cleaned our plate. Highly recommended for good food and good service.

Stopped by to have a quick lunch during my visit in January. Need to do metered parking on the street. They have lunch special for $16 with 1 naan and chicken/Lamb/Vegetable curry. Will certainly visit next time.

I can’t believe I’d never been here before!! The food is so unbelievably good. It’s a super warm and welcoming atmosphere, the furniture/decor are super cool, and the people there were very patient with us when we were trying to decide what to order.
We ordered the chicken coconut curry with some naan, chicken thukpa, and kheer. I think we were lowkey obsessed with the thukpa, I’d recommend getting that for sure.
Otherwise, seriously such a cool place and would totally recommend.

Best of Utah hands down. Skip all the other places and come straight here…yes, I have tried the other “popular” places. Himalayan Kitchen dishes have the perfect balance of spices and flavor. Medium spice is truly medium spice without drowning out the other flavors..mild spice is flavorful…not soupy or bland like the other places around. The atmosphere and service are always great. Both locations in downtown and South Jordan are good.

Himalayan Kitchen has a nice relaxing atmosphere with great food. We started off with the bread basket and assorted meat platter. Both were really good and provided great samples of breads and meats. The included sauces were also amazing. For the entrees we had the prawn curry and butter chicken. Both of these had amazing flavor and would recommend. For desserts we had the pistachio ice cream and rice pudding. The ice cream was awesome but the rice pudding was a bit underwhelming but still decent. Overall this place was great with amazing food and fast service.
