Very tasty but it is hard to place a phone order as their line has an incredible amount of static! I would also appreciate it if the menu listed *what* spices and herbs are used. It currently says “various” and that isn’t helpful for deciding what dishes might taste like! Not bad for the only Indian/South Asian restaurant in Montclair.

That’s more of a takeout than and sit down restaurant but god the food is great! French born, wife Asian, well travelled let’s say, formerly trained as a mitron in the restaurants of my uncle former 2 stars michelin chef, family vineyard owner, born in a family heavily exposed to food and wine with roots in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Piemonte Italy, and Bruxelles… never been addicted to a take out place like this and we lived in many places megapoles and smaller family towns… I don’t know how they do that korma sauce! The food (forget the location, ambiance, decoration, table service… all that is show off and useless if the food is not good and that’s unfortunately the case of the majority of restaurants… you are most of the time better off cooking at home or learn to…), the food here is incredible. We did not taste again a dish that does not beat in quality and know-how most of the Indian, Pakistani, South Asian places we’ve tried all over the world in this casual family food category.

Definitely one of our favorite takeout spots. Every curry is flavorful and delicious, and the samosas and momo are also exceptional. This is the only place that I know of that has coconut naan, which is unbelievable addictive. The service is quick and our waiter gave us a mango lassi + extra naan for free. Very generous staff and the perfect place for quality Indian food.

they should clearly state what has nuts in it. I had a terrible afternoon/evening when i ate it without realizing it contained cashew nuts which i’m allergic to. When I called the staff said there isn’t any cashew its just almond but i clearly see the cashew nuts in it.

Ordered from this place on DoorDash. First time trying it and so pleasantly surprised. Food was phenomenal! Tried the chicken Momo with sauce – super delicious dumplings! The lamb curry and the chicken korma with garlic rosemary naan – perfection. I had eaten all the food by the time I realized I hadn’t taken photos. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant soon.
