Stumbled across this hidden gem place was such a vibe to be in, ordered the jerk chicken bowl, came with 2 piece chicken with rice and beans, chicken so tender and juicy with extra flavor, gotta hit it with the hot sauce 1 time for that good bite baby! Shudda gotten the plate but either than that would come back & highly recommend FIRE

I had the ackee and saltish and had to wait 40 min ish for my food. It was good but not delicious bc it was really salty. I make ackee and saltish / ate it a ton and it was clear that they didn’t boil it or soak the salt fish over night (eating with grounds foods made it edible) .
The callaloo and ackee was very bland overall ok.
Waffle and chicken was bomb
Curry shrimp was bomb
Festival bomb

Super underrated. Came in here on a whim and was satisfied with all the food. I got the Jerk potatoes and the carrot cake for dessert. All very tasty. The staff were personable and sweet. I’ll have to come back to try their mac and cheese that was recommended by the waiter. This place deserves more love.

If you are looking for some delicious Jamaican food in the Pomona area, this is the place to go to. Food is freshly made. The hit hitting the spot. That jerk salmon, oxtail and goat was made with precision. Try their juices also. The service there always good. We went there when my high school friend cane into town to visit. She loved it. Its in a coo area that you can walk in the downtown area. Not too far tho . Go support this restaurant, totally worth it.

A charming restaurant located in Pomona.

We arrived a little late, about 20 minutes before closing on a Monday night. We were the only patrons in the restaurant, but the staff was kind and kept the kitchen open for us (we called ahead to make sure thst it would be okay).

The restaurant also has a small little market where they sell a number of items from Jamaica. Here’s a breakdown of what we ate.

1. Wings – We ordered both the crispy and the jerk wings. The crispy wings were well fried and very crispy and tender. The jerk wings were next level though. They are marinated in the jerk seasoning and then baked. They were fall off the bone tender and just the right amount of spice.

2. Oxtail Combo with rice and cabbage – Delicious and Tender oxtail. Not the best oxtail I’ve had, but definitely up there.

3. Goat curry with rice and cabbage – a distinct curry flavor. It had a hint of sweetness and the Goat is also quite tender. Definitely a lot of bones to sort through. Not a typical curry. I recommend trying.

4. Mango pineapple ginger juice – a very nice blend of sweetness and spice. You get the sweetness on the front end with the mango and pineapple blast with a kick of ginger in the back of the throat when you swallow. Perfectly balanced in my opinion.

Overall I would recommend visiting. There are a few other dished I’d like to try next time like the pineapple wings and the jerk salmon. It’s not very budget friendly, so be prepared to spend a little bit.

Great black owned business to support. I have only had “to go orders” but the inside of the restaurant has a nice vibe. It’s clean & modern with tv’s & a nice bar.
During my first visit I ordered the oxtails. Perfectly cooked but it could have used a bit more seasoning.
The second time I had the jerk chicken which was great. I have had the beef & curry patties but the bbq was my favorite.
I also tried out the pineapple wings which had an excellent flavor but a bit too breaded for my taste.
The young lady who usually takes my order always makes me feel welcome & cultures me further on Jamaican cuisine. The first time, I ordered over the phone but be prepared to pay in advance. The second, I ordered in person but did not wait long at all. It hasn’t been too busy when I have visited.
I will be returning & I definitely recommend.

What can I say, name any Jamaican food or drink. Go here and get it. Flavored, authentic, delicious. Every single thing on the menu is awesome, yes we went there three days in a row and ordered everything on the menu and even order what we didnt see. We got it and it was darn good. The staff are now our extended family. We love the food, people, location. Good parking.

I walked in here by accident as the Pomona Christmas Parade prevented me from going to where I was headed. Am I ever glad u did. Both the bartender and the waitress were super nice. I had a quick exchange with the chef as well very nice. The food was amazingly tasty just delicious. I will definitely be back and not by accident

The food is sooo delicious! The staff & atmosphere was friendly & welcoming. The oxtails came right off the bone, so tender. The jerk salmon definitely had a kick but it was very flavorful. The red beans & rice and plantains were perfect, I don’t remember what the item that is similar to corn bread is called but I really enjoyed it! Not pictures but we also got the BBQ chicken patty & curry veggie patty, both were on point! The patty was soft & not to flaky, it was a hit. We also got a smoothie that was refreshing. The wait time wasn’t long either
