Went here for Friday fish fry. Went at 5 pm, it was not that busy. We ordered the fish platter with french fries and the poor man’s lobster with German potato salad. It was good. The workers were very friendly and polite.

Mine & my dad’s first time here. We will be back. I had the bluegill fish fry with German potato salad, rye bread & coleslaw, which was all delicious – best German potato salad I’ve ever had: sweet & tangy with chunks of real bacon! My dad had baked cod with French fries, rye bread & coleslaw. His came with melted butter for his fish. He said his was also delicious. Our server was super friendly. The atmosphere was casual & welcoming with large open dining & bar areas. Thank you for the great experience! See you next time!

When I started seeing the parking lot filling up as I drove home each night from work that’s usually a good sign. I looked them up and saw they had new owners that invested in the property. Tonight we decided to try them out. The woman of my life orders the black bean burger. The waitress comes back saying the chef says we don’t have those. We point to it on the menu. The waitress doesn’t know what to say (strike 1). We asked for additional time. She comes back. My lady orders the wings. Her reply, sorry we are out of those (strike 2). She decides to order a salad. I ordered the prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Look at the photo of the asparagus. What chef would even consider placing them on the plate and call it good? The waitress should have called the chef out on it before bringing it out, but didn’t (strike 3). And if you thought the salad arrived without any issues that would be incorrect. It was gritty as if something wasn’t rinced (strike 4). The owner? came to our table and asked how things were. We explained the above. She said she would not charge us for the salad. We said that wasn’t necessary. She stated hardly anyone orders the black bean burger so they stopped stocking them. We said it’s still listed on the menu.
With all of that in one experience we will not be coming back.
