I went 2x in one week! Ordered to-go, absolutely DELICIOUS! As you can see one slice did not make it home. The spicy hot wing chicken pizza is a MUST try! I am so happy to discover this hidden gem, my favorite pizza on the island and trust me I have tried them ALL. Won my pizza loving heart.

Best pizza I’ve ever had. I can never eat most pizza due to wheat and dairy allergies. But here at Hideaways, I was able to order a cauliflower crust, veggies and goat cheese.. And it was amazing! Loved the service, as well.

Hideaways Pizza is a true gem in Princeville! The pizza was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, perfectly baked crust, and generous toppings that hit the spot after a day of exploring Kauai. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with a casual island vibe that makes you feel right at home. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly and piping hot. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Hideaways is a must-stop for great pizza and a fun, relaxed experience.

We had a great experience at Hideaway pizza Pub. I asked our server what he recommended, and the chef happened to be walking by and suggested the nut pesto bread along with the Garden Island pizza. We decided to go with both recommendations and they were fantastic. The Garden Island pizza especially was excellent and full of flavor.

We also tried the jalapeño poppers. They weren’t great, coulda used a little dipping sauce on the plate to add some charm and everyone loves a little ranch for dipping poppers! The homemade items and pizzas are definitely the stars here.

The atmosphere could use a little more lighting to brighten things up and create a bit more of a vibe inside, but the quality of the pizza more than made up for it. Overall, great food and definitely worth a stop if you’re in princeville

This was not Neapolitan style pizza. The crust was not fresh. The toppings were awful: ham was non-existent, the pineapple was tiny diced, hard squares. The sauce tasted like Ragu. For a $38 pizza we expected higher quality. The one hard working waitress provided excellent service. She was friendly and attentive.

Nice pizza spot in the area. With the area being a bit more secluded (in my opinion at least) it gets difficult to find some quick food. Pizza, and and mozzarella sticks were good. A bit more sauce on the wings would have been nice. The option to order online and pick it up was nice. But there is very limited parking in front of the building. Might have to drive down some too a parking lot across the street.

Pizza is very good. Sounds like they import the dough from Italy. Crisp and tasty. There was a bit of a wait after we ordered the pizza, about 30-40 minutes, but not a big deal. Pizza was very fresh.

The food was absolutely delicious and they have a great assortment of local beer. We got a bianco pizza on the gluten free cauliflower crust and it was amazing. I think they recently changed the GF crust option to that and it was one of the best I’ve had! If we also didn’t get a regular crust on the Shaka pizza I wouldn’t have known that my crust was GF (and the regular crust was amazing too)! Super nice servers and we have not stopped talking about the pizza since going!

Hideaways is always the first place we get pizza from when we come to Kauai and we typically end up getting it more than once when we are on this incredible island. I had it for the first time over 10 years ago and all this time later, it seems to get better each time. The ingredients/toppings are always very fresh, the crust is a fantastic combination of fluffy & crunchy and the undercarriage always has a perfect char.
Their carry out service is amazing as well. We had some friends arrive on the island later than expected and even being within 15 minutes of closing, they were happy to take our order.

I’m not a frequent review writer, but I felt I needed to share the strange (and downright rude) experience we had in Fall 2025 when visiting this restaurant.

My fiancé and I wandered in to Hideaways for dinner because it was easy walking distance from the Airbnb where we were staying on Kauai. We didn’t have high expectations—just hoped for a good pizza and good service.

The place was basically deserted – maybe 3-4 tables? The two male servers were working as a pair, as it appeared one was being trained as a new server. We ordered Diet Cokes, and debated out loud whether we should share a small or medium pizza. We were hungry, but both my fiance and I have medical conditions that don’t allow us to eat the portion size of a “normal” person. We landed on the small, and the server was visibly irritated and kept trying to get us to order a medium. He clearly thought my fiancé was being cheap on a date.

I forget exactly which pizza we ordered, but we asked for it as described on the menu, minus the olives. I verbally confirmed with the waiter that he heard me say “no olives”, as he appeared a little confused and flustered (this was the trainee).

It was a very hot night, and we were thirsty. It was almost impossible to get service for a drink refill, as the experienced waiter was spending his time flirting with a woman at another table, and the trainee was running around unsure of what to do.

After quite a long wait, the experienced waiter breezed by our table and said “the pizza’s coming…but you’re not”, implying that my “cheap” fiancé wouldn’t be “getting any” that night. I was stunned. I confirmed with my fiancé that was what he said, and we both heard the same thing. Incredibly rude behavior.

The pizza finally arrived…with olives. No one came back to check on us. We finally had to flag down the experienced waiter for the check, and he asked if we wanted a box or why we didn’t eat the pizza. We explained it had olives and he accused us of not ordering that way. He didn’t offer to remove it from our bill, either. All in all, we had terrible service. The pizza looked good, but I can’t speak to the taste as it wasn’t delivered as ordered and no one was willing to rectify the situation. My family and I are returning to Kauai next month, actually staying at the resort where Hideaways is located…and we will not be returning, nor can we in good faith recommend it to others.
