I can only speak on the chopped pork because that’s what I picked up to go, but it was really good. Overall, some of the best in the area, and much batter than some of the more ‘popular’ places. The BBQ sauce was also good. Will definitely be going back.

Small, family owned business. Limited hours, but very good food. Portions were more than adequate and prices are reasonable. We had bbq sandwich and rib plate.

Not bad, but I was hoping for better. Neither the pork not the chicken had much of a smoky flavor. The sauce was good but not distinctive. I liked the core slaw. We have probably ten better barbeque places in the Shoals, and if you really want good barbecue you must go to Southeastern North Carolina.

Hicks used to be a great place to eat, but lately we have been getting cold food and overcooked fries,so when I called and brought it to their attention all they could say (I’m Sorry) and didn’t offer to give us a free meal or a refund, and this is not only happen once but several times, so after I called them to let them aware of it she hangs up on me. Well that’s THE LAST TIME I WILL ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!
