Reviews
1. The views and ambiance are amazing, 10/10.
2. The parking garage was closed for a private event, so we had to find street parking which was nearly impossible, having to walk multiple blocks to the restaurant, making us an hour late for our reservation. No valet offered
3. From the front desk to the server to the chef, everyone was unfriendly
4. Typically, when the chef cooks the food, it’s the highlight of the meal. It’s the whole experience! This chef wasn’t there for more than 10 minutes, was very disengaged, barely talked to us, just prepared the food with minimal tricks and fun and left.
5. We ordered our steaks to be prepared at different temperatures. My husband likes his rare. The kids like theirs medium. He cooked all the steaks together, regardless of the fact that my husband ordered the filet mignon and the kids got the basic steak – he cooked it all together, at the same temperature and disbursed it across everyone.
6. My husband ordered a very expensive lobster tail. The chef cooked it with everything else, diced it into tiny pieces, and tossed into the kids mouths before we even realized what he was throwing – meaning 90% of it ended on the floor
7. Overall the meat was dry and the food had no flavor. No seasoning what do ever, just soy sauce. Everything tastes the same and was bland.
Will not be back! The hibachi I had in Iowa of all places was far superior.
Once seated at our own fault realized it was a set menu at $50 a guest.
Having a shellfish allergy and all options for appetizers having shellfish (being fired in same oil) and entrees besides chicken being shellfish… left me paying $50 for chicken, salad, ice cream. My husband ordered the Japanese egg rolls which were burnt and his fried rice was burnt with charred flakes from the grill.
The manger came over and offered a free beer. Happy new year I guess.
A set menu during a busy night ensures quality and they definitely fell short in that department… fire burnt rice and burnt egg rolls. Management disputing saying “yes that looks fine enough to eat”
Honestly if wanting to watch the fireworks inside just go to the bar and order order drinks
Also my son has a shellfish allergy and they were very accommodating !
I’m the kind of person who would’ve dealt with all this if the food is good. WRONG.
The food was bland, burnt, and unappetizing. You don’t get soup. They overcooked our steak (asked for rare) to damn near rubber. Scallops were chewy, burnt and inedible (see photo-so dark!) The portions of rice were small. Don’t expect to have many leftovers, unlike other hibachi restaurants.
There was no show with it either. The chef was inexperienced, dropped egg shells in our food several times (and spent time fishing them out of the eggs) and barely spoke to us. I saw him accidentally drop food into the waste/discard hole and fish it back out twice. No volcano, no squirt in the mouth. Again, I would’ve accepted it if the food was good, i’m not picky, but it wasn’t.
The biggest pros was that the server was kind and kept my drink refilled without me asking, and was receptive to our complaints. The sushi was yummy, though also overpriced. The view was gorgeous, and the interior decor was lovely as well.
2 teriyaki chicken meals came to around $70 and one of the meals looked like it was eaten out of because the other meal looked had more of a portion than the other. The proportions were DEFINITELY not $35 worth of chicken and rice. Maybe $8,and that’s being nice.
& lawwwwd DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE BATHROOMS. Charging as much as they do for food and can’t even keep the bathrooms clean is disgusting & absolutely unacceptable.
***Now none of this food was eaten or touched at the point of taking these photos & each meal was the same and supposed to be the same proportions!!***
& my children and I have eaten here before they’re 11 and 9 and they both gagged and said never again. Horrible horrible horrible. I hope they at least pay their employees well because they’re nice. I was going to go back in the morning with the food but I don’t feeel like arguing with anyone.
Just taking a loss , the photos speak for themselves. Two of the same exact meals and they look SO very differerffof
