Very cute ice cream shop with delicious ice cream. Staff is friendly. They have a lot of interesting flavors. I sampled the salted caramel, which was yummy! My hubs had the lemon shortbread. It was also tasty. Our daughter enjoyed the blue raspberry with gummy bears! We got mini cups, which were $5. A little pricey for a tiny cup, but they overload them. We will return to try more flavors!

Each trip we take to Galveston always has to involve a stop at Hey Mikey’s. They are always super friendly and of course their ice cream is just delicious. We tried the Ice Cream Nachos this time and they are really good. The waffle chips had just come out and were crisp and delightful to dip into the ice cream selections (you get to choose 4 flavors with the nachos). The homemade whipped cream was very smooth and tasteful as well. I definitely recommend trying Hey Mikey’s Ice Cream.

Has great expectations due to reviews but really the whole experience was just so-so. Tiny space for the line so you’re literally getting stepped on by people who have already paid or received their order. So much wasted space at the front of the shop too. As far as the ice cream, it was priced on the high end and I’m sorry but I tried 3 flavors and they were very bland. It’s a good location but I just wasn’t super impressed.

My family and I were first timers in Galveston. We were really in the mood for ice cream and found this place on Google. It looked pretty awesome and we were excited. We paid $10 for parking just to find out that they were closed for a party. Online it showed as open but at the door there was a sign that stated they were closed due to a party. $10 down the drain, and some upset kids. Would’ve been nice to have been served ice cream and we would’ve gone about our day without dining inside so they could continue with their party.

Stopped in this evening and ordered 3 pints to go. Price was $10 each. The amount of ice cream in each pint was deplorable and there was a lot of space in each container. I would have gotten more ice cream if I ordered it in a waffle cone. I love to support local businesses and the ice cream is good, but the the value just isn’t there if this is how they skimp on the to go orders.

Kristen at Hey Mikey’s not only accommodated my last minute request but she also went out of her way to make me a matching sign to go with the theme of my sons party. No gelato and no pretzel cones, they should delete that from their offerings on google. No water in fridge, so no cold water either on a hot day, went next door to Mod coffee and found cold water and fresh brewed tea. Mint chocolate chip ice cream was good.
