I walked in and Herb was sitting back in a chair smoking a cigarette and I instantly knew this place was legit. Despite the cigarette smell, the strong smoked flavour of the meat conquered the little venue. We ordered the ribs and pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich had a little more kick than what we wanted. The ribs were hickory flavoured, fall off the bone and drizzled in sauce. Portion sizes are good and food is well priced.

We stopped by on a whim on a Tuesday (when he’s not even open) and bumped into a sweet lady in the parking lot (who turned out to be Herbs lovely wife) and she said go on in! Herb took our order and then shared his vast knowledge of the area while we enjoyed the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. The sauce is amazing! If you’re in Georgetown I definitely recommend Herbs!!

While travelling from Myrtle Beach to Savannah, we were looking for a good bbq/seafood place to stop for lunch. We decided to give Herb’s BBQ a try. We could smell the place a half mile away. Neither the smell not the reviews let us down. The people were extremely friendly and the food was incredible. For all of $20 we left fat & happy, with plenty of food left over.

Best ribs I’ve ever had. Driving from Charleston to Mrytle Beach on Hwy 17 we found this gem. Excellent service and the owner even came out from cooking to ask how we liked his ribs. I definitely recommend this place.
