We ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast with 2 eggs over easy and marble rye toast, and the pork chop breakfast with 2 eggs soft basted and a pancake. Everything was wonderful. They really know how to cook eggs. Particularly the soft basted, which isn’t a very common order, but they were prepared perfectly. The chicken fried steak and the pork chop were both high quality, tender, and very tasty. I really liked the flavor of the gravy on the steak. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was utilitarian , like an Eagles or Knights of Columbus Lodge. The price is excellent, a to quality, affordable dinner with great portion sizes. I’ll be back.

Phenomenal food. AWFUL service. Extremely rude & make you feel super rushed. Staff doesn’t use common manners. I chose to spend my money at your business, a little thanks goes a long way. Definitely didn’t deserve a tip, but I left my usual 30% anyways. I asked for a cinnamon roll to start off with… Tina responded saying “its going to get busy so if you want other food order now” in a super rude tone and just snappy. So… I ordered my whole meal. My cinnamon roll was forgotten about. My ticket is brought out to me, cinnamon roll is on there— I ask for my cinnamon roll. No “im sorry yes ill get it” just a holler to another employee to warm one up. I’m like the best customer to have. Super easy going. Super understanding. Worked the service industry myself. Absolutely awful attitude and manners. I don’t care how great the food is, customer service is super important. I will not be back.

When you come to Henry’s, everyone knows everyone. It’s a small town diner filled with people that have stories. They might not be directly telling you their stories, but you can hear them all around. The waitresses are kind, humble and fast. The food is yummy. As you can see, I didn’t get a chance to grab a photo of the Cinnamon Roll… it’s that good. Small town feel, big time flavor. The biscuits and gravy were a hit and the French toast reminds you of how mom made it. Definitely worth a little drive outside of the city.

Sunday morning drives from Omaha. Loved the Pork chops and Eggs, and casual atmosphere. Unfortunately, a couple of Sundays ago, we were met with a rude Server by the name of Tina. She started the morning off scolding my Buddy about having his travel mug at the table. We have done that before at Henry’s and many other places with the idea that we pay for the coffee, and it’s poured in the travel mug instead of a clean cup- with no problem. REALLY, what’s the difference? None, Until Tina barked about it that Day. In taking the order, she was curt, short, lacking in any friendly and generally unwelcoming. That set a bad tone with us for the rest of the meal. We wondered if it was because we were not local’s or regulars- or that is just what we need to accept when eating at Henry’s? Is that coffee rule a house rule or Tina’s rule? She made some kind of remark about not having a reservation for a party of 5. Is that also for real?
Anyway, we don’t plan to return.

Henry’s Diner looks like it has been around for many years. Based on our experience, this place will be around for quite some time to come. There were still several patrons on a Monday even after the lunch hour. Many of them seemed to be regulars there.
Service was friendly and efficient. The menu had a nice selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and dinners. There were also 4 daily specials — I choose the Meatloaf dinner (good) with sides of Ham & Bean Soup (excellent) and American Fries (otherwise known as country potatoes — also delicious). My wife had the Henry’s Philly which had plenty of prime rib, peppers, cheese, and onions work a side of Onion Rings. Both were delicious!
We saved barely enough room to share a piece of Peach Pie for dessert: Double crusted with homemade whipped cream. It was a great finish to our meal.

The lady that met us at the door was not friendly at all she growled something about being early 2 of the 10 of us were 10 minutes early we made a reservation.I looked around and more than half of the tables were empty? Then the waitress was short with anyone that asked her a question, she forgot one of the drinks when he asked her about very sharply she said I’ll get as soon as I have time he never got what he asked for! They need to hire people that want to be there!! Good thing their food is outstanding because their service is terrible!!!
