This was honestly so good! I don’t have any Brazilian food where I live, so getting a little taste of home in Hamburg made me ridiculously happy.
The meat quality was amazing, the fish dish was also delicious, and we even took some salgadinhos home, they were sooo good. The music was great, the decoration is really beautiful, and the location couldn’t be better.
Such a lovely spot, I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Hamburg again! ✨

You don’t find many Brazilian restaurants in Hamburg, neither in Berlin. And even if you did, I can still highly recommend Helo! The signature meat was delicious, and also all the other options seem really tempting. Haven’t tried any dessert, unfortunately, but I sampled some sugarcane Cachaça, and the 10 years Gold Deluxe was really great! Thanks again for the recommendation!

Haven’t had Brazilian in a while, and decided to check it out. Delicious ribeye steak cooked perfectly! Broccoli side was a sleeper hit, too! The chicken couscous dish also very tasty. Very friendly staff, nice setting, definitely recommend!

HELO is a charming spot for Brazilian food in Hamburg, and the service is definitely one of its strongest points—the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and make you feel at home right away. It’s the kind of warm hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.
The food itself tasted good, offering authentic Brazilian flavors that were satisfying, even if not quite perfect. The main area for improvement is the presentation; unfortunately, there seems to be very little care or creativity in how the dishes are plated. It felt as if the food was simply cooked and quickly placed on the plate, which doesn’t do justice to the quality of the flavors.
Despite the lack of attention to plating, the overall experience was positive thanks to the great service and enjoyable food. If you’re after good Brazilian cuisine served in a relaxed, welcoming environment, HELO is definitely worth trying.

Amazing food! We ordered “moqueca de peixe” (strongly advise if you don’t know Brazilian cuisine and want something new) and “feijoada”. The “salgadinhos” starter is also a nice choice, finger food you find in every Brazilian party and perfect if you’re craving fried stuff Both dishes tasted great and the staff was really helpful with menu suggestions based on our preferences. They showed good attention to detail during the whole evening, a rarity in most German restaurants.
