Was in from out of town and wanted some quality pizza from a local establishment, not your run of the mill franchise. Their deep dish caught my eye on the website, and I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered The Heirloom upon recommendation from staff, and sat at the bar for drinks. Staff were super friendly, the atmosphere was laid back, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I could tell by those dining in that this appears to be a local favorite for steady patrons. I’ll definitely return when in the area. You just don’t find this deep dish style pie on the west coast like what they’re preparing at Heirloom’s. Great job!

Right from the start, service was friendly. Then the menu wasn’t just pizza. It was salads and beets and starters too. You’re able to get any of the thin crust as deep dish and vice versa. The deep dish just takes longer. The salad with spinach and gorgonzola was delicious. Even my 11 yo dived right in. The Napoli pizza was delicious but a tad on the spicy side for those less adventurous on spice. You can also build your own. The place is dog friendly and had both indoor and outdoor seating alike. The take out was also busy. There’s a small bar you can eat at too if that’s your jive. Would come again!!!!

Looked for a nice place to eat because there was a rumbly in my tumbly and those pesky hanGer pains were a knockin pretty hard. Open opening the door the sweet and savory sent of marinara sauce titillated my senses and like a cozy warm blanket guided me to our table. The place was full but not packed. And the speakers were playing Groove is in the Heart by Deee-Lite. All great signs of a fun atmosphere. Starters we ordered the beet bombs delicious roasted beats topped with fresh arugula and goat cheese. The cornucopia of flavors danced around in my mouth giving a refreshing burst of aromatic zest. Our main meal was a DEEP DISH mamma Jamma that goes by the seductive name of Arugalalala, Yes my friends, this pizza was the Queen on her throne. At first glimpse it was as if it was sculpted by the gods and baked in a scrumptious crust. All blended together to create this masterpiece. Our experience was second to none. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend this as one of the best.

If you like pizza with a straight up cornbread crust, this place is for you. It didn’t taste bad, it just tasted like cornbread with pizza toppings. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The chairs are really uncomfortable. I had to get a sweater from the car just so I could keep my backside from slipping out the bottom of the chair. The vibe is nice and it’s a convenient location, but I probably won’t be returning.

I’m a tourist and I purposely try to find things a bit off the standard tourist paths. I’ve been to Monterey 5+ times for car week and this time I extended my stay and had family join me. We skipped lunch and were starving. Pizza and salads sounded just perfect. We ordered arugula salad, bomb beets and a large Napoli pizza. It was only 3 of us but we were hungry and not afraid of leftovers for breakfast before heading to Napa. The salad came first. It was fantastic. Just the right amount of dressing. Next were the beets. They came out hot and with lots of roasted walnut flavor. Next was the pizza. It was more than we could eat but fantastic. The hot peppers on the pizza were a bit too much for my spouse and daughter so we ordered an “emergency” small cheese. They got it to us in 10 minutes. I’m an east coaster where we have many great pizza places. I also make my own pizza and consider myself pretty good. Heirloom pizza was different from the styles that I am used to but it was exceptionally good. The crust was thin, covered in lots of corn meal and the sauce was thick. The cheese was more cooked on and less gooey than what I know. The toppings were fantastic! I really loved the pizza and really appreciated a style that was new to me. The service was quite good even though I think our server was new. He didn’t seem new to the pizza and gave lots of great advice. The atmosphere was really nice. I’d love to come back again.

I’m 51. I’ve had a lot of pizza over the years. Rating pizza .. never given 10/10 in my life re. pizza. No more, this was 10/10 without question. Ordered a heritage pizza deep dish and build your own thin pizza with roasted corn, bacon and ricotta. …. the crust, the sauce, the medley of flavors … second to none.

Had the deep dish meatball pizza. Way too much sauce, crust was ok but not a traditional crust, it looked more like cornbread. The flavor was good but not as savory as other pizza. Sat on the patio, inside was nice and modern. Not bad at all but not my pizza preference. The sour beer was great.

Roasted broccoli was yummy, bomb beets was good-a little overkill on the cheese (personal preference) but solid portions for appetizers. We also ordered a thin crust chicken and pesto pizza that was tasty other than we were disappointed in the crust. Just no flavor and seemed to lean more toward tasting like a cracker crust. Server, restaurant and atmosphere was awesome. We would go back and try the deep dish!

About a year ago, it was fantastic pizza. Now, for the last 2 times I was there within the 8 months, It was not the same. The deep dish pizza weighted 8 pounds, now it is 4 lbs at best. Sad and disappointed. Was fishing for meat on the heritage pizza and had a hard time finding them. They must be under new ownership. Definitely skimping on the ingredients. I would rather pay more and get consistency with the pizza. This used to be my #1 pizza place. Now it is back to Gianni’s pizza.

Great pizza. Wife and I split the Jimmy Pancetta and a side of roasted broccoli. Really tasty. Daughter had a regular cheese pie. Both were thin crust and really good.
