Smash burgers done right. The Barburger is Big Mac–style with special sauce, plus fresh tomato and sliced onions (large enough to split). Onion rings are freshly sliced and fried to perfection. Delicious food and a fun, laid-back atmosphere.

Stopped and met the wife for dinner after volunteering in Charleston and had a good & tasty meal. Burger and fries and a fish sandwich and sweet potato fries.
The waitress was exceptional, even with giving her a hard time.
Although the meal and service were great, the cost for two burgers and one soda is just ridiculous being $54 with the tip. It’s one of the reason we have to cut down on going out.

Really solid prices for downtown Charleston and great food as per usual. Love Heavy’s, one of the best burger spots in CHS imo. Their Nashville chicken sandwich is solid as well, and their sweet potato fries literally melt in your mouth. 12/10

The burger at Heavy’s is truly unique, it has that special signature flavor that sets it apart! A visit here is not complete without ordering the onion rings; they are an absolute must-try! The location and atmosphere are ideal for a friendly gathering and unwinding after a long day of work. Highly recommend!

Heavy’s Barburger is my absolute favorite restaurant in Charleston! I have celiac and the gluten free burger bun is the perfect texture and taste and made in-house. Each burger is amazing along with multiple other gluten free menu items. The wings are absolutely delicious and the salads are too.
I cannot say enough great things about Heavy’s! The atmosphere of both locations are awesome, the music is always great, and the staff are all accommodating and kind.

Staying on Isle of Palms and wanted to try a good burger place. This was only a 20 minute drive from the island into Charleston and was the best decision we made. Our family ordered the lemon pepper wings, Barburger, the Patty Melt, the Ranchero burger, onion rings, fries, and sweet potato fries. We all devoured our food and both kids said to put it on our “definitely come again” list if we’re ever back in the area. Highly recommend!
Bonus: they have their own parking lot so parking was easy. I imagine it might fill up quickly during busier times but on a Monday night, there were plenty of open spots.

I recently ordered something to go from the downtown location. When I walked in, it was not busy at all. A young brunette girl reluctantly walked over to me to take my order. I asked a couple of very minor questions about the menu and I noticed that she did not seem very enthusiastic about helping me. Maybe it’s because I was just one person getting something to go and she did not see a good tip opportunity. Despite her attitude, I gave her a couple of bucks just for her trouble when I paid upfront. When she went over to the bar area she was talking to a young blonde server and seemed to be talking about me like she was making fun of me. I am very good at reading body language even at a distance. She went to the outside dining area where a customer had a dog without a leash. She and the blonde server seemed to pet the dog which I did not like because they are handling people’s food. When the brunette came back inside she was imitating a customer outside in a mocking tone because they requested their table be wiped off. She really seemed bothered by having to make the slightest effort to do her job. I did not go to that establishment to be made fun of or hear some girl make fun of other customers. I don’t think she needs to be helping customers anywhere. I also have a problem with businesses that serve food allowing pets, especially when they are not on a leash. It is unsanitary and sometimes animals can be protective and unpredictable and bite someone that comes too close. When I got home and ate my meal I was not very impressed, especially for the price. For several reasons I do not recommend this place. In my opinion you can get a better burger at Joyland or Melvin’s and the service is friendlier. The server I found to be rude and disrespectful is in a group employee picture on the website. She is the one with long dark hair in a long pigtail and little blue eyes wearing a light yellow shirt in front. She is going to drive business away with her attitude. I will not be back.

Barburger is one of the best burgers I have had. The fries are good too, but the burger steals the show.

Onion rings are my favorite thing on the menu but everything I’ve had is top-notch bar food. Sleeper tip is try the blackened grill mahi sandwich.

Tried the classic barburger and it was absolutely delicious! Juicy, flavorful, and downright addictive. Can’t wait to come back for round two!
Plenty of outdoor seating if the AC is a bit too strong for you.
