I’m extremely disappointed with my latest experience at Garcia JOJOS. After two good visits, I brought my wife for the first time because I wanted her to try it too. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. We ordered the chili cheese fries and they were honestly terrible. The beans tasted burnt, the fries were cold, stale, and had no freshness at all. For nearly $8, this was really frustrating. I even debated asking for a refund because the quality was that bad, but at this point I just have to accept the loss. It’s really upsetting because I expected much better, especially after my previous visits.

The time before I got a burrito with no beans and Xtra rice…it was double beans and a disappointed mess of a burrito….this time I said super no beans Xtra rice twice… and they repeated my order back to me… I paid the extra for my rice and it looks like a half spoon of rice and now they closed and I can’t return it… I’m so irritated. You charged me Xtra for way less Twice!! I understand y’all want to leave at exactly 8:30 but damn at least give me what I paid for! Your crew don’t care! Make them care! Please! This could be the best spot in Modesto but your crew don’t care and based off the reviews the managers don’t either! Do better jo jos. I can clearly tell they had the same cook for 40 years…they are clearly worn out and quality control means absolutely nothing to a 80 year cook who’s only goal is to be in bed by 9pm. I’m so disappointed that I recommend this place to others in the past! Please make it right!

This place sucks. Ordered 4 tacos and a large horchata and my total was $40. Not only that but they put rice and beans under my 4 tacos. I really wanted to like this place but I can’t recommend it to anybody.

This family-owned Mexican fast-food spot has been a Modesto favorite for decades. Their food is consistently delicious—our go-tos are a large side of beans, a large side of rice, a large salsa to go (the best in town!), and the pulled pork burrito. It’s classic, comforting, and flavorful every time.
One note: double-check your order before leaving. About 15% of the time we’ve received an incorrect item, but the staff is always friendly and quick to make it right.

Dropped off Pompadour Pete and his little stab Coco Lopez at the Hotel Flamboyancé there on Pillsbury Avenue so they could have a week of nothing but sin, and just the thought of it made me queezy….So I went for tacos! Not being familiar with the area I asked around for the best tacos, and got a ton of answers, so I refined my question too…where to get the best crunchy tacos¿
Ohh… That changed everything! It was pretty much unanimous that Garcia JoJo’s puts out some Crazy Good Crunchy Tacos! So good I ate 10 of them! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

The food was great and everything was fresh. I got this beans and rice and they offer fish tacos. They are really good, My mom surprised me one day when she came home from work which is nice. Love this meal and will get again
