This is a dual restaurant. Once inside you are in a Cracker Barrel type store. Straight ahead is the cafeteria section which is very large. Just a few steps in there is a single door on the right which is the entry to the Hayley Bales steakhouse. It is a very rustic setting. I chose to order an 8 ounce ribeye with a side salad and stuffed potato and my usual sweet tea. The steak was very thin but was cooked just right and definitely tender and tasty. The side salad was pretty lackluster and the blue cheese dressing was thin and missing any chunks of cheese. The stuffed potato was absolutely amazing and I received a basket of warm bread which was good but no butter.. I enjoyed myself and the surroundings. However, my very young server would not take my payment at the table and directed me to the register in the store area.

We went for the party and was there by 7:00 with a reservations. Our order was taken in place 20 minutes after order they came out and said they were out of prime rib! We had to change the orders then it took another hour for our food to come out. When I spoke with a manager she stated that the only cook one Prime rib because they want to waste any. So instead they would rather lose customers. He blamed the waitress for the problem. He just said HE didn’t cook enough. Very lousy service from management!.

I went here for an Internet group meetup, so we were in the private dining room in the back. The space was fine, not fancy but adequate. The service was impeccable, though. McKenzie was attentive, efficient, and very friendly. I had the ribeye sandwich and the flavor was really good and everything on it was fresh and tasty. I don’t eat potatoes so I didn’t have fries with it and was excited to see broccoli as a side choice, but it was just okay. A little underseasoned and watery, but for sure edible. The salad my friend got looked a lot better.

To describe the service as slow is a gross understatement. We have been waiting more than 45 minutes & have yet to receive our order. They are not crowded – just ridiculously slow. Good food, pleasant staff – just slow, slow service.

Worse time we have alot of the years First we got there the hostess was so rude We asked to sit In a bigger booth my husband had surgery His knee a few months ago he needed room to stretch it out Our friend is big guy She Said the table we wanted was for 6 people pure rude she finally let us sit there we weren’t happy about that We ordered Blooming onion slightly overcooked we ate it anyway Our waitress was nice only good thing Friend ordered a steak it was ok ,We shared a racknof ribs overcooked dry they put some much BBQ to cover up The waitress said they only had 4 orders We tried to eat some of them but brought most of the home to pick off for our neighbors dog Management needs to step up Kitchen don’t care about the appearance of their food I will never order ribs again Many years We have been & the best food not any more Best Food Cafeteria beats them hands down Alot of money spent to be disappointed I started to call management but we aren’t going back anytime for a long time
