I was close by and this was walking distance. Definitely a solid Hawaiian bbq spot.

The food here is SO GOOD!! It’s a little different than L&L as it should be, because it’s not the same company. I feel like this spot has more flavor than L&L. I remember it first opened up around 2004-2005 while I was in culinary school and I continue to come here to this day. Bbq beef and bbq chicken is my go to plates here. But they have a good sized menu if you want to get something more. If it’s a hot day, feel free to drop by and get a smoothie also.

Overall, this is pretty decent spot for Hawaiian food. I actually think they’re better than L&L with better overall flavor and variety. This location has been around for a very long time in South Pasadena and I have frequented it often. The owners are nice enough, I like the spicy beef, I think the macaroni salad is tasty though a little bit too much mayo, and my only criticism is that I prefer cook cabbage over raw shredded cabbage. But if you’re in the need for quick, grilled and somewhat healthy food, this is a good spot.

Oh man there are so many great spots but this is seriously the best Hawaiian BBQ!! I’ve been coming here for years I hate going anywhere else. Their Masubi is fantastic. If you want Ahi burger they have it and it’s awesome. They also have great specialty rolls which is a major plus cuz I can get some sushi and Hawaiian at the same time. The owners are so humble and just always so kind to serve you and always smile and are very Courteous. I’ve never been disappointed. Big 3 ’s out of 3 ’s!!

The taste of their food is spot on. A real delicious taste, but their prices have gone up tremendously over the years. 2 pieces of spam masubi used to be $3.50. Now it’s $5+. Mini portions of food entrees used to be $7, now they’re basically $9. Used to come here a lot, but not anymore for that price.

Wish I was more of a fan. The food is less than mediocre at best. I live right up the street and the old version, when I first moved to the area, was so much better.

Better than L&L’s and Ono. The Mac salad is amazing, rice is perfect, musubis taste fantastic and the Katsu was perfect. My new favorite Hawaiian food spot.
