This place was a great pic… they gave us various sauces but you don’t need them. The fried shrimp, wow, outstanding. The breading on the shrimp, fish and Katsu was so light and crunchy. The grilled shrimp were the biggest I’ve seen. I was leary about Hawaiian BBQ chicken but man was it good. You get macaroni salad and wither fried rice or sticky rice. This place is a favorite of mine and my daughters.

Hawaiian barbecue offers a delightful blend of smoky and savory flavors, generous portions, and a variety of island-inspired dishes featuring tender meats and signature sides such as macaroni salad and rice. The experience is memorable for its juicy grilled meats, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere that brings a taste of the islands to each bite.[yelp +4]
Flavors and Meats
Hawaiian barbecue is renowned for its selection of proteins—chicken, beef, short ribs, and pork—often marinated in sweet teriyaki sauce or cooked with subtle smokiness. The chicken, whether grilled or as crispy katsu, tends to be juicy and flavorful. Short ribs and BBQ beef are popular for their tenderness and bold marinades, and pork dishes like kalua are celebrated for their rich, smoky taste.

We ordered the ramen and chicken/beef combo plate. I found the plate well seasoned and a large portion, but the ramen was just lacking in flavor. The broth really had no flavor or substance to it.
Large seating area inside and a cute patio to enjoy during the warmer months.

I was craving ramen so I gave this place a try. Pretty decent selection of ramen bowls. I tried the pork tonkatsu ramen (removed the corn, fish cake & egg). I liked how the bowl came with the broth separated from everything else (I had it to go). The pork was rubbery and unflavored but the broth was the STAR. Broth was very tasty and smooth and full of flavor. Noodles were cooked perfectly.

Had an amazing meal here! Very nice service. Food was delicious and quick. Freshly made. There was something for everyone and huge selection! Lots of options on everything. They give you yum yum sauce with the rice and good on everything really!

I cannot speak to authenticity, but this is definitely one of the better places to get unique food at a decent price in Montgomery. The mini-meals are a must for lunch. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like here. Service is fast and food always seems fresh. Definitely a great addition to our community.

The food tasted good and came pretty quickly. I ordered the Chicken Combo Hawaiian Special. I also ordered an appetizer of Spam musubi. It was all worth the price and I left with leftovers. Would recommend to others.

The food was delicious. The service was an excellent, unique type of cuisine for the area. If you like the rice and barbecue and a Hawaiian-style plate, it’s fantastic! The Ramen, though, I didn’t have any luck with it being perfect and flavorful. I saw several patrons enjoying it. Give these folks a try. I hope they make it fantastic customer service.

Amazing tasting, very expensive, good for dates, and good service.
I paid about $50 for my fiance and I. The food is very good but just really expensive. The portion sizes are also small for their price. Still tastes really good. The boba tea tastes amazing, but it’s $8 for about 12-16 fl oz. The To-go bowls are very deceiving though haha. I was like “wow! This is a lot. This is worth the price I paid.” Then I saw it has a separator to keep most of the broth separated. The portion is about 1/3rd the size. They always are out of tapioca around 9pm which sucks, but I understand since they are closing so . People there are amazing and really sweet.

Tried the Hawaiian BBQ Combo Fried Rice at Hawaiian BBQ & Ramen in Eastchase and it was delicious! Flavorful rice, tender meats, and generous portions. Friendly service and fast turnaround. Definitely worth stopping by — I’ll be back!
