My long drive through 80-E led to a mirage along the road. The bright sun beated down on a big Antojitos Dona Chona sign. I just couldn’t leave Winnemucca without seeing what they have to offer. Un vaso de fruta y un esquite fue suficiente. A complementary banana split sealed the deal. Delicioso.

Very clean, great service, easy menu, portions are pretty big so some things can definitely be shared. I’m so excited winnemucca has this place! Check it out for sure and I would suggest asking what the ingredients are in some things because there’s peanuts in quite a few things you wouldn’t expect. I got the esquite (elote- corn on the cob with cheese seasoning, mayo, butter and parmesan) but in a cup. Ask for it in a bowl because it’s pain in the butt to eat out of a small cup.

Cute little place we stopped at before our hotel to get some snacks and sweets. I love to stop and get fruit cups and cueritos. Everything was great, they were out of bananas. So I got a milkshake instead.

This was a lot of food but oml it was SO GOOD. The Fresas con Crema and Takis locos were amazing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Not so sure about the brined pork rinds on top but I had never tried them before and figured I may as well humor my ancestors. 10/10 would 100% go here again.
