Refined, Punjab-focused cuisine at a family-owned, longstanding spot with ornate cut-out decor.

For Indians craving those familiar flavors, just chat with the staff in our very own desi bhasha. They totally get it. We were missing our good old yellow dal, so I told the server, “Chef ko bolo, dal mein dhabha wala tadka maar ke, thoda mast masala daalke bana do, jaise ghar pe khate hain.” And trust me, they nailed it.
What came out of the kitchen was pure nostalgia—dal loaded with that spicy, comforting tadka, just like back home. Add to that the warm smiles and helpful attitude of the staff, and suddenly you don’t feel so far from India anymore.
We ended up ordering way more than planned (because who can stop at just dal?), and left with our cravings completely satisfied—for the rest of the trip. If you’re desi and missing home food, this is your spot.
authentic South Indian meal for the Hindu ceremony.
It’s been over a month now and guests are still raving how delicious the food was.
The presentation was also classy.
Rubel and Jyoti heeded to all our requests.
The overall result exceeded our expectations.
Thank you Haveli!
This Indian restaurant in Florence is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — a perfect blend of cozy elegance and vibrant charm. The service was flawless; the staff was genuinely kind, attentive without being overbearing, and truly made us feel like honored guests. The owner knew their customers like they were family.
Now let’s talk about the food — wow. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors that transported us straight to India. From the perfectly spiced curries to the pillowy naan and fragrant rice, everything was clearly crafted with care and expertise. It’s rare to find such impeccable balance in seasoning and presentation, but they nailed it with every bite.
Whether you’re a lifelong lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is an absolute must-visit in Florence. A culinary experience we won’t soon forget!
It was new to my palatte, not sure if I liked it very much. But it was definitely not bad.
The dishes felt somewhat heavy on cream (both the coconut rice and curry)
The chat was okay too!
I saw this place has very good reviews, famous for punjabi cuisine!
Maybe this is the place for non-veg!
Spices are truly flavourful! Owner did come across and greet every customer. True to tradition treating “athithj devo bhava”.
Highly recommend a visit.
