Okay, so if you have 6 kids and they love sushi. Then come to Harumi. We got two sushi boat b’s and that filled the boys up. The girls got chicken ramen and loved it. They also tried the sushi and liked it. As the old guys in the photo we loved the service and quality. Not the cheapest but a great value. Highly recommended.

This establishment was a rare find. From the second we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted, seated and treated like family. Chef Ichiro took care of our every need and was funny and attentive. The fish was very fresh, and the rolls were very creative. We had the best experience here and can’t wait to be back.

Staff and atmosphere were great, but the food was beyond mediocre. We got Udon Chicken, chicken teriyaki, Galbi, soju and beer. The Udon Chicken had no chicken, the chicken teriyaki was 7/10, the Galbi was overcooked, chewy, and burnt, and the beer was all foam.

Absolutely exceptional sushi experience! From the moment you walk in, you can tell this restaurant takes freshness and craftsmanship seriously. The fish is impeccably fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and beautifully presented. On top of that the hospitality of the owners, chef Ichiro and his wife is warm, and professional without being intrusive.

Convenient spot on the way in to South Lake Tahoe for fresh hand rolled sushi. The menu was extensive and the food lived up to expectations! Service was surprisingly slow for only being at about half capacity, but it was likely a staffing issue. They had a great classic rock playlist going which was a hit for some members of our group!

This is the best Japanese restaurant in South lake Tahoe and there isn’t anything remotely close. It also has a mini Korean section that has some great choices as well.
I’ve been in south lake long enough to see this restaurant go through several owners and the current owners are my favorite. Chef Ichiro makes amazing sushi and Lia is warm and inviting at the tables. Just great people who care about their customers.

t’s a place where you can experience Japanese food close to Authentic. It’s run by a Korean chef who have long experience , so it’s clean and there are many menus that you can’t taste anywhere else. I went to Sushi pier and there were only Mexicans in the kitchen and cashier, so I stepped out and waiting one hour to take a food in here It was great food and comfortable indoor atmosphere were very good. If it’s a bad sashimi, it’s a place where the chef’s philosophy of insisting only on the menu of good ingredients stood out. I highly recommend it.

Really great food and friendly atmosphere here. I sat in the bar and ordered Heavenly rolls, a unagi hand roll and spicy tuna rolls. Chefs are easy going and Ichiro, one of the chefs, was really nice and gave me some special since he thought I might wait too long. Tonight I thought I might just sit and finish my dinner alone. Thanks for the chefs and waitresses making my night special:)
