Went for the first time with a buddy on Monday. Got us Mac n cheese bites for the table that were top tier for the classic deep fried cheese you want at a bar. Then got the mango habanero wings that were some of the best I’ve had around here, and the meat lovers pizza which for $18 you can’t beat it. Fed me and my buddy and had leftovers for the next 2 days. The bartender was awesome and the cook was a really nice guy. Deff will be going back was a great experience

We ordered from here today, this particular order asked for
– Medium Well Cheese-Burger
– Onions
– Lettuce
What we received was a burger so well-done that it was cracked and falling apart when I tried to pick it up. Zero onions in sight. Worst of all, the pathetic half-piece of lettuce that I got was slimy and out of date, like it was expired or close to expiring. Which isn’t something to sneeze at when salmonella likes to thrive on expired produce.
Important to note that the lovely lady who took our order repeated it exactly as we asked several times (even suggested we do medium well instead of rare so it’ll be a little pink and not red!), so this is an issue with whichever chef was on duty tonight. It’s like he read this ticket and disregarded most of it and then gave me a worse version of what I asked for.
We called requesting either a refund or a credit so we could come back another day, and not just write this place off. The manager on duty refused a refund, instead repeatedly asking if we want something remade. Why would we want the same chef touching our food again tonight? The rest of this 67 dollar order went into the trash because the preparation of the burger was enough to cause concern for more expired ingredients or a dirty cooking space (see photos for what I mean by this.) We only wanted a refund for this burger and the sandwich my mother ordered, which had its own issues, albeit none as bad as this.
I don’t even know what I’m looking at in the last photo. It was stuck to the top of the burger above the cheese, which is weird. I’ve never seen anything like this. I wouldn’t even feed this to a street dog. Maybe the onions up and ran away from this biohazard. Smart of those onions!
I would’ve been willing to give this place another chance, as my mother loves this place and suggested it tonight, but the attitude of the manager on duty was ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that we tipped for this. Ridiculous. If there was some special reason we couldn’t be issued a refund, it wasn’t explained or mentioned and therefore I’m not considering that hypothetical in my write-up. If that was the case, it’s bad practice to not explain why.
Would you spend 13 dollars on a burger that looks like this?
Edit: The same chef we had problems with tonight is mentioned in a previous review by “Krista Gibbons” about someone getting yelled at by him and receiving a burnt pizza without the right toppings. Same exact guy, seems to be a pattern that should be considered.

Hi. Don here. I was here a couple weeks with my “daughter” to whom a big black guy yelled across the bar who is the cook in front of everybody. Which isn’t true for one. We had a bad experience with him a. Couple weeks ago and tonight, was terrible with him. We ordered a large pizza extra jalapeños and sausage and a dozen clams, so he walks out w the pizza burnt all to hell on the first and barely toppings when we asked for extra jalapeños. He drops it off and walks away, I ask him where the clams were and he said he only had two hands and waited for them to open, they came and were like warm. He has a bad attitude problem d is rude and a terrible cook. After the owner brought out the clams and did t say a word, dropped them off and walked away. After we paid, left and the big fat cook was outside in a chair smoking. Please bring back who you used to have months ago. He isn’t doing your bar and food justice except for disappointments.

Ordered clams and garlic feta wings. Order took over 30 minutes with a dozen people in the bar. Bartender was nice and got me a beer. Clams were a bit over done. Wings were on crispy side. But they didn’t have any sauce. They just had cheese spread over wings. End result was dry tasteless wings. Wings need to be TOSSED in the sauce to coat them. Drizzle sauce on wings was weak (or skipped) left dry tasteless wings. How do you need up wings????

Never have had an issue at this location. I really enjoy the setup of the bar and the fish tank I’m a big fan of. Reasonable priced drinks with a good selection. Anytime I’ve ordered food, it’s been great. Recommend if your trying to go to a nice laid back bar.

Not overwhelmingly special. It is a fairly intimate place, with a few tables placed along the exterior. There is outdoor seating for warmer weather which would open it up considerably but, too cool for that when I was there. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy the company of friends with an adult beverage you could do much worse.

A nice bar to visit while in JC. Usually busy and the bartenders are all very friendly and attentive especially Meredith. Prices are reasonable for the area. The food is good but they were out of clams on clam night and it was only 7:30. Also when it is hot outside it is hot inside even though they have air conditioners.
