Harpoons has a great location by the bay. Very beautiful especially in the evenings. Food wise, it’s pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had but I’d say it’s above average. Only real complaint is the ceaser salad could 100% use more dressing. The parking lot is fairly small but there is plenty of off street parking. Wait times can get long as well. I got here around 5pm with about a 15 minute wait, as we were leaving the wait was about 1 hour plus.

Hidden gem of North Cape May. If you know, you know! My Cuban sandwich was really good. They have parking, great service, awesome view, and on this day they even had someone playing the guitar. What a cool place!

We’ve been to Harpoons numerous times (as evidenced by the hubby’s tee shirt collection) its always been excellent.
We decided to try the brunch offerings.
It was not crowded but there was a craft show in town…we scored a table overlooking the beach access across the street.
Nice well rounded menu….hits all the high spots. I heard the sausage gravy over biscuits was delish.
Our server was attentive.
It’s pretty much a covered outdoor venue and it draws a crowd and has 2 separate seating areas for the canine clientele….if you go for dinner the sunsets are a million dollar view.

Going in, this place was very promising and my expectations were very high. It’s a very cute restaurant right near the beach. However, I am disappointed at the end of the night. After ordering, the food took around 50 minutes to come out which it was busy so it is fine. Then there was a fly that was pestering me and my family the entire time we were eating. I would understand it if we were outside but we were in an enclosed area that you have to go through double doors to get to. The food was good but not meeting or exceeding expectations. The waitress was very very kind and checked in often which was very appreciated. Overall, I think I would’ve rated it 3 stars but they had good live music playing and a caricature artist so that makes up the fourth star.

Great place for lunch. Plenty of outdoor seating so you can see the bay. Service was amazing. Multiple servers, hosts and the manager was clearly visible at all times. Food was excellent. Order the lobster roll. It will be the only thing I eat here. Two bars have lots of beers on tap and very cool signature cocktails. Highly recommend the “Pain Killer.” It was too good to have alcohol in it, so watch out! Grouper sandwich was good. They have vegetarian options. Great view, amazing food. Highly recommend. Will be back every time we are in Cape May.

We went on a Saturday night in early June and man was it packed. We had a slightly over an hour wait. With no reservations, we were expecting the wait.
We grabbed drinks at the bar, and found a space at the railing facing the beach. While we were enjoying the wait there, a servers told us that it was a service area and we should be over in some other area to wait. This was 45 minutes into our wait. If it has taken 45 minutes for someone to come take our drink order… If you get drinks at the bar, you should be able hang in the bar unbothered.
When we got our table, it was in a fully enclosed room that was too loud for our taste.
The drinks and the food were good. I had the coconut shrimp with a fun sauce. My friends enjoyed a salad, sandwich and lobster roll.
The sunset across the street is perfect. The walkway with the older wood railings was quite lovely.
