I’m a Chicagoan and I don’t think they have missed the mark. The food is never disappointing. They are a little pricey but what place isn’t these days. In Chicago I would never pay $17 for a wing and gizzard combo. More like $12. There has not been one time I have been there and the person at the counter wasn’t super friendly. She was so nice yesterday almost made me not want to complain about the wait. I ordered on the phone (I was 25 minutes away according to gps). Over the phone I was told 20 minutes but still waited about 10 minutes. She was apologetic and very sweet. And they were playing some good music which helped the time fly. It’s very clean but the esthetics could make it a better vibe. The high boy tables/chairs and the flooring brings it down. I would like to sit and eat there sometime but until they up the decor I will be the carryout queen. But I will be back again and again just for the food and good service.
