We really enjoy Rookies Pub and often come here with friends to relax and have a good time. It’s a great place to watch games, hang out, and enjoy a casual atmosphere. The food is tasty, the drinks are good, and the service is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and perfect for an easygoing night out. Definitely a place we like to come back to!

Honestly the only good thing about our experience here was the darts that were reasonably priced. We got the pretzel appetizer (pictured) for FOURTEEN dollars – this pic was taken before we touched it, how it was served. Insane honestly. On tap beer was fine and reasonably priced if that’s all you’re looking for.

What a great place to watch the game. Food was delicious (I recommend the traditional wings), staff was very friendly, drinks were cold, and there was a TV in every direction. Love the sports memorabilia on the walls and retro arcade games on both floors. We will definitely be returning.

I attended a networking event which was help upstairs and perfect setting. Service was outstanding, food was excellent anyone we came in contact from Rookies was very friend and went above and beyond to make it a great event. They also had a bingo night going down in the bar area which you can tell folks had a good time. Great location in heart of Crystal Lake downtown.

Place was lovely and good! Definitely dedicated to sports. Bartender was nice and attentive. I ordered the patriot burger, and upcharge to garlic cheese curds for 3 dollars. When the food arrived I received a literal 12 cheese curds. 25 cents a cheese curd. Meanwhile my buddy got the same thing no upcharge had a mountain of fries. Wish I could weigh it… “For this is how its portioned” said the manager at my disgust. Came to the bill is when I asked for him and they still charged me for something I didn’t even eat. NEVER COMING BACK AND NEVER RECOMMENDING 🙂 Rookies in Hoffman estates is better. This place can kick rocks.

Went to an event at Rookies Crystal Lake this past week with a group I am with and let me tell you it was a great event. With Rookies assistance on getting things moving and keeping it rolling was great. The staff was kind and food was good for the event we had. They had families there playing games and keeping a fun safe environment.

Rookies is the place to go for a fun time with the family or as a couple get away. The front of the building is magnificent! Inside you’ll find a well equipped bar, casino games and friendly staff. The food is excellent and the price is good. Bob, the owner, takes good care of his clientele and theos an awesome Christmas party every year! Highly recommended.

Excellent for sports bar atmosphere. The menu is pretty expansive and can be a bit much to work through but everything seemed like it would probably taste good. Got the curds and a burger. The curds were pretty standard in a good way but nothing that stood out.
The burger was tasty but a bit overstuffed and fell apart after one bite. It’s never a great sign when they don’t ask how you’d like your burger cooked but it was okay overall. Much like the curds, tasty in a standard type of way but nothing to write home about.
You’re definitely going to Rookies for the football/playoff game vibes and a place that has adequate but not noteworthy food. Service was great.

Went out for an early weekday lunch and food was delicious! The chicken was so juicy and cooked to perfection! Our waitress was attentive and kind as well. I will be dreaming of those tenders until next time…

Was in there playing slots and I kept asking for some popcorn on the way out when I was in there because it was good. Owner of the bar would not allow me to get any popcorn says it’s for paying customers only that buy food and drink. Owner was very rude to me and discriminated against me and treated me like garbage. Good place to go and hang out and eat but if you only play the slots they will look down on you if you don’t buy food and drink. I think I will take my business elsewhere because I was treated very unfairly and discriminated against by the owner. The owner even said thanks when I said I would take my business elsewhere. In no way is that a way to treat a customer. I have bought food and drink before there.
