I ordered cheese grits that came with no cheese.
Then I order an order of all fish and it came with only 3 pieces. I’ve gotten that with a combo in the past. I’ve came here too many time to be mistreated like this it’s very disappointing.
I’ve came to this place several times and I travel on the train just to get there. I really like the owner of this place but the people on shift 10/15/25 screwed over one of your loyal customers.

Harlem Seafood Soul delivers comfort food and flavor that impresses. I tried the fried shrimp basket and mac and cheese. The shrimp was perfectly fried—crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. It was served up fast.
The standout, though, was the mac and cheese. Hands down, one of the best I’ve ever had. The cheese pull alone was next-level, and the hint of black pepper added a surprising kick I didn’t know I was missing!
This spot is 100% worth visiting in the the dekalb food market.
The only drawback is the market itself: it’s a bit loud, with overlapping music in certain spots in the market

The service was perfect, was greeted and attended to as soon as I arrived at the food station. The wait time was about 10 mins, not too long at all and the station’s area was very clean. The food wasn’t hitting for me though and it came out to about $25. The fish was not that well seasoned, the baked mac and cheese was too oily with too much black pepper, the yams were the best thing that I had even though they were very sweet and the cornbread was super hard like it had been sitting out all day. I’ve made a mission to try a couple of shop station’s in this mall and this was one that I stopped at last week. I was disappointed and will not be returning, hopefully they can take this review and use it as constructive criticism to better the food quality.

Let’s start by stating Chef Walter is THE BEST!! This man was kind and patient with me as I navigated placing a very complicated order for my family. He actually put something special together for me that carefully balanced all the items that I needed in a much more logical way. As the order was being prepared, he treated me to some of their delicious yams. Now I am a huge fan of yams, and I can separate what’s good and bad……and these were simply AMAZING! I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated each and every bite. You could taste the love and care that was put into the cooking process. My family enjoyed every bite of their food and we will most definitely be back for more! Do yourself a favor and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!!

I was a little disappointed by the size. They looked small. However I loved the flavor and texture. I didn’t eat them fresh. I traveled, and then ate them later. What they lacked in size they made up for in flavor. Delicious little balls of fluffy cornmeal delight. Next time I’ll try more of the menu.

$25 each for two small orders of catfish nuggets, sweet potatoes, and greens. The sweet potatoes and greens were fine. The catfish nuggets, however, tasted like they had never even seen seasoning before, like someone had informed the catfish nuggets that they would never get to meet seasoning due to bad behavior. They were incredibly dry and bland. I didn’t know that soul food could taste two-dimensional. This is the kind of thing that makes people think that a “soul food” restaurant is owned by people with no soul.
I am recovering from surgery and I’m legitimately pissed. Soul food is supposed to be made with love. It’s legitimately supposed to be healing for the people who eat it.
Please fix it for whomever comes next.

Special experience with Chef Tami. We take a combo box with fish filet, shrimp and Tami french fries. Mac and cheese are absolutely incredible. Special food, preciously prepared by Tami. That’s real Soul Food!
