Cork Wine Bar is one of my favorite spots. Kareem, the sommelier, is truly exceptional — knowledgeable, personable, and always spot-on with his wine picks. The food is consistently delicious, whether you come for brunch or dinner. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend!

Really cool place with a warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend the fresh chips—they were perfectly cooked. The wine selection was top-tier.

Lovely spot! Went there for brunch and sat in the sunny window. Steak and eggs was good and fairly priced, as was the coffee. Loved the chillwave/vaporwave playlist on the stereo. Staff were super nice. Totally slept on this place until now, but will be back soon!

They charge 2$ for a tiny spoonful of olive oil. They charge 5% service charge that doesn’t go to the servers but right to the owners pocket.

Not to mention the wine selection is quite basic and stuffy. Probably for an older and less selective crowd. (no natural wines, no oranges, nothing sulfate free). Food is a boring and pretentious “New” American.

Get a bottle from your favorite store and order a pizza home. It’s cheaper and way better than this.

What a lovely wine bar! They have an excellent wine collection. And the staff are delightful. Both the owner and manager are deeply knowledgeable and more than happy to share and educate. Cork is definitely worth a visit if you’re in D.C.

Super nice, tranquil, boutique (and potentially underrated) bar. Especially recommended if you’re fond of having deep conversations and drinking wine. Although the food menu is short, everything we ordered was delicious – especially the truffled fries and of course the drinks!

Wine market, bar, small plates joint in a good location. Stopped in for a flight and light bite on a Saturday night. The downstairs bar/market was packed, lots of energy, and buzzing. We were upstairs because we had a reservation. Decidedly quieter up there only a couple of other folks dining, the back room had a large party (15) cozy with lighting in the right place. We started with a flight and narrowed in on Pomerol by the glass. The Somm was friendly, knowledgeable, and made a good suggestion for our final glass, a Cahors. A licorice-bomb that we really liked. On the food side, we were very basic, fries with homemade ketchup; French onion soup, with cheddar and a nice bread on the side; and roasted/fried cauliflower with yogurt, pine nuts, and pickled raisins, which was a little overdone. We didn’t venture much further on the food menu, but we were really here for the wine anyway. On our way out, we perused the markets but weren’t able to find that Cahors in a bottle server/somm. sensing our dilemma, procured a bottle for us from the back. Nice experience, I’d explore more by the glass options here and they have some interesting finds in the wine market.

Had attentive and personalized bar service even with a group of 6 with no reservation on a Friday night. Bartender made time for our table and offered personalized flight options. This is my second visit and I definitely recommend!

Nice place, good quality wine choices. We have been there for a wine tasting event. It was interesting and worth the money. Service could have been better. I understand that it’s a family business. They spent good money on decorating the place and developing the menu etc. however, there is this lack of staff that kinda makes it somehow disturbing and I cannot explain how. Overall, it’s good wine food.
