Stopped by for lunch. You know how I like sushi. I’ve been wanting to try Happy Sumo for a while, having heard good things. I was underwhelmed. Service was great. Food was just okay. I was surprised. There were a couple of rolls I didn’t want to finish. Maybe it was an off day? It wasn’t bad enough to ward you away, but it’s not a place I will add to my rotation. I also felt like the cost was higher than average, which negatively affected my overall feelings. Give it a try and tell me your thoughts.

Very fast and efficient service. We had the crispy calamari, miso soup, Venus roll, and the Siam Street Noodle entree. The calamari was average, not very much flavor. The miso soup and sushi were fantastic. The noodles were okay, but definitely lacked flavor as well.

We went here for my husbands birthday. The sushi is the freshest in Utah county. His favorite is the dragon roll. Wonderful atmosphere, and we were seated right away. Live music was going on outside, which made for the perfect night. Highly recommend Happy Sumo.
