Burger was awesome. Caught them on a Monday night and it was slow, cold weather on a Monday in wintertime. Bartender was really a nice guy, the Downeast cider was great on draft. A fine place.

Good place but a little cliquey, if you’re not a regular, but a lot of bars are like that.
If you want a pleasant attitude from Dan, the bartender, you’d better be REALLY into golf. Unless you’re a cute chick, and he wants to get in your pants. Then he’s very charming, or so I’ve heard.
The other bartenders are more pleasant, even if you’re not a duffer.
One of the owners, Jim Clark might be there, and he’s a good dude. Very friendly guy.
And if you’re lucky, FBI Dave might be there, and you can say “Hi” to him. Be sure to ask him about the war on domestic terror.
Didn’t try the food, so I can’t rate it, but I’m sure it’s decent.

“Unassuming” is being kind to describe the atmosphere but we wanted some simple food. Burger and Fish and Chips. Both meals were very good. Inexpensive and served promptly. Nice people too. I’d go back.

Last night, I went here and the bouncer told my boyfriend and I that we looked young but scanned our IDs and let us in. We are over 21 so we didn’t think much of it. Our friends came shortly after and the bouncer denied our friend because she “looked young and couldn’t let anyone else in looking young” without even scanning or looking at her ID even though she is over 21. My boyfriend questioned the bouncer about what was going on and why she got denied but he told us that he couldn’t let her in and that we “were lucky he let us in”. I understand that you are trying to avoid underage kids from entering but to not even bother looking at someone’s legit and valid ID because of looks is crazy. Needless to say after that interaction, we left and will never be returning.

We go here on Fridays, and the food and service from most of the bartenders is very good. I didn’t take a picture, but I ordered a chicken cheesesteak that was probably one of the best that I’ve had anywhere. I don’t eat many cheesesteaks, but the next time I want one, it’ll be from here.
