Hangar Two is our venue in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Its name is a nod to the US Naval air station that was once at the heart of the Glenview community. Like all our restaurants, the menu contains dishes ranging from familiar favorites to our chef’s more adventurous creations. It also boasts a variety of Tangled Roots local craft beers on tap at any given time, so there’s something to suit every palette. With its beautiful glass atrium, Hangar Two has rapidly become a brunch hotspot for the weekend crowd.

We had the pimento dip appetizer and it was super good! My wife had the chili and cornbread and found both to be great! I had the best of the wurst. I loved everything except the curry sausage. I like curry, but not in this sausage.
Our waiter was great and attentive without being overbearing.
We’d love to return sometime when we’re back in the area.
The food and restaurant sanitation were excellent.
We visited with Team Attorneys Military Mediators Consultants and families while traveling on business.
The clients were pleased with decorations and Hangar restaurant atmosphere)food options.
We were pleased with the Naval Hangar branding —Glenview Station
The Glenview naval branding at the restaurant is awesome.
Yes we support active, retired armed forces foundations (ethical lawful resources and services).
Yes the restaurant has a vibrant and engaging staff.

When we walked into Hangar Two, I immediately panicked. It was LOUD loud. Like sports bar on Sunday loud. My husband pointed out that the restaurant was half full with a kids’ soccer team.
The hostess was very kind and sat us out on the patio (a few other folks were out there, too), and the server did a great job of tending to us even though we were probably far away from his usual section.
The thing is, the patio faces…the parking lot. So instead of a cute outdoor experience, you are literally listening to every human walk back and forth to their car and looking at asphalt.
We ordered our beers and appetizers, and the beer was DELICIOUS. I was very happy with the flight. But then, not even 1 minute later, our steak dinners were served to us. ($35+ per plate steak dinners, that we did not want to get cold). So, we stopped enjoying our appetizers, and we tucked into our dinner.
We had ordered the steaks medium, and they were medium rare. I would rather have them under done than over done, so we just let that be. My tenderloin was from the Oktoberfest menu and came with spaetzle, and it was incredibly dry. I don’t know if it had sat under the warmer lights for a long time, or they are back there microwaving it, or what.
At this time, the entire kids soccer team exited the restaurant, without adults, and just stood next to the patio horse playing and making noise. At one point one kid pulled another kid’s pants down. They were there for about 20 minutes or so until the manager ran them off (I still never saw adults???).
We finished our meal, and I had been looking forward to the dessert. I ordered the brownie, also off the seasonal menu. Folks, I am a choco-holic and LOVE dessert, and I couldn’t even eat the “molten” brownie. It was a dried out cake, with cheap cherry pie topping from a can scooped on top (why???), and the vanilla ice cream was completely flavorless. I had two bites and just couldn’t even power through it.
All that to say, our bill was $130, and multiple items were inedible and the experience was barely tolerable. If you want to come here to drink and watch a football game (with a bunch of children around??), maybe just order some appetizers and you would be fine. Do not waste your money and try to have a nice dinner here.
The food was good and better than I would expect from a brewery. I got the special, the Hangar Two burger. If you are hungry- get the burger. I had to bring half home! And I don’t normally eat fries but these were crispy and just right (maybe a touch salty)
We also had the Harvest Risotto (on special) and shrimp grits. All got good reviews.
I had the Valley of Gold beer – not listed on the menu but it’s their current lager. It was verry crisp and probably more of a summer beer but I enjoyed it!
Service was quick and fine. The noise level was good and we could hear each other talk at normal levels at 1:30 on a Sunday.
