Great restaurant where craft beer meets craft food. They have a wide selection of microbrews and custom mixed drinks along with a fabulous food menu. The food presentation is one of the best in the area. As far as seating, you have the option to sit in the bar area, at the bar or out on the inclosed patio. The staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere reminds me of being on vacation at a beach house.

Super great atmosphere. We chose to eat in the sun room, but the main dining room looked very nice as well.

We had the pimento dip appetizer and it was super good! My wife had the chili and cornbread and found both to be great! I had the best of the wurst. I loved everything except the curry sausage. I like curry, but not in this sausage.

Our waiter was great and attentive without being overbearing.

We’d love to return sometime when we’re back in the area.

The food is excellent and consistent, not the case with other Tangled Roots locations. They also have some really good beer. Additionally the seating options are great, especially the covered patio section.

Stopped in for lunch and a couple of flights of beers. Was a great experience. The food and beers were awesome, and our server Mel could not have been nicer. El Fuego burger hit the spot!! Great atmosphere and plenty of parking/seating. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but if we are even remotely close in the future, we will for sure stop in again.

My husband and I love a good pub/craft beer experience. Our friends just moved to Glenview, so we decided to drop the kids off with them and go to Hangar Two nearby. From their website, price point, and photos on Google, it seemed like everything we would be used to for an adult night out. We were celebrating our anniversary.

When we walked into Hangar Two, I immediately panicked. It was LOUD loud. Like sports bar on Sunday loud. My husband pointed out that the restaurant was half full with a kids’ soccer team.

The hostess was very kind and sat us out on the patio (a few other folks were out there, too), and the server did a great job of tending to us even though we were probably far away from his usual section.

The thing is, the patio faces…the parking lot. So instead of a cute outdoor experience, you are literally listening to every human walk back and forth to their car and looking at asphalt.

We ordered our beers and appetizers, and the beer was DELICIOUS. I was very happy with the flight. But then, not even 1 minute later, our steak dinners were served to us. ($35+ per plate steak dinners, that we did not want to get cold). So, we stopped enjoying our appetizers, and we tucked into our dinner.

We had ordered the steaks medium, and they were medium rare. I would rather have them under done than over done, so we just let that be. My tenderloin was from the Oktoberfest menu and came with spaetzle, and it was incredibly dry. I don’t know if it had sat under the warmer lights for a long time, or they are back there microwaving it, or what.

At this time, the entire kids soccer team exited the restaurant, without adults, and just stood next to the patio horse playing and making noise. At one point one kid pulled another kid’s pants down. They were there for about 20 minutes or so until the manager ran them off (I still never saw adults???).

We finished our meal, and I had been looking forward to the dessert. I ordered the brownie, also off the seasonal menu. Folks, I am a choco-holic and LOVE dessert, and I couldn’t even eat the “molten” brownie. It was a dried out cake, with cheap cherry pie topping from a can scooped on top (why???), and the vanilla ice cream was completely flavorless. I had two bites and just couldn’t even power through it.

All that to say, our bill was $130, and multiple items were inedible and the experience was barely tolerable. If you want to come here to drink and watch a football game (with a bunch of children around??), maybe just order some appetizers and you would be fine. Do not waste your money and try to have a nice dinner here.

A biscuit appetizer seemed suspect to me but after ordering them… it beckons a full brunch ensemble! We sampled the Brew Pub (pulled pork bbq nachos), the Pimento Pub Dip and the Drunken Wings. We ordered a bowl of Chicken tortilla soup and a kids pizza for my little one… both gobbled up by two pretty picky eaters. Thoroughly enjoyed the Pineapple Express cocktail. It’s on the sweeter side for my palate but good!! Loved the decor and ambiance…great modern/classic display of memorabilia and art paying homage to the community’s former Naval Air Station. Looking forward to going back to sample more of the menu!

A nice place where the atmosphere is a mix of upscale brewery and brunch spot. It’s really beautiful inside but it’s also somewhat casual with the mini keg lighting fixtures.

The food was good and better than I would expect from a brewery. I got the special, the Hangar Two burger. If you are hungry- get the burger. I had to bring half home! And I don’t normally eat fries but these were crispy and just right (maybe a touch salty)

We also had the Harvest Risotto (on special) and shrimp grits. All got good reviews.

I had the Valley of Gold beer – not listed on the menu but it’s their current lager. It was verry crisp and probably more of a summer beer but I enjoyed it!

Service was quick and fine. The noise level was good and we could hear each other talk at normal levels at 1:30 on a Sunday.

Went in at 1230 on Thursday got in quickly for a party of 2. We were not in a hurry and did not feel rushed by waiter. Ordered the French Dip and a Flat Bread with Fountain Drinks. French Dip was well cooked and seasoned along with the fries (not out of this world but very solid). Wife said her Chicken Parmesan Flat Bread was very good. Atmosphere was good with an aeronautical-theme. Their beer selection was very good even though did not order. Server was attentive and made sure drinks were topped off and made sure everything was good as it came out. Price was very reasonable for everything and food was solid.
