For Sichuan food with friends, this is a great spot to hit. Food wasn’t too spicy and portions are not Chinatown portions but reasonable for the price. All the items we order were good to my standards, but many dishes were on the sweeter side and definitely not as oily.

I thought the food was pretty good. I had the hot sauce style beef, dan dan noodles, and tofu (I don’t remember which particular dish the tofu was), but it was the most I ever enjoyed tofu in a restaurant.

We made a reservation for 3 on the NYC restaurant week website. Got there and was seated in a very warm way. Only to be told upon inquiring that the restaurant only participates in the restaurant week festivities from Monday- Friday. This was Saturday. There was nothing on the website that stated this. Anyway, I digress. The prices weren’t bad so we ordered. The entrées then came first and long before the appetizers so we had to wait a bit to start eating. The food however was bar none!!! Everything we ordered was exceedingly delicious and flavorful with great portion sizes! The drinks were mind blowing as well! The ambiance was serene and wonderful, replicating exactly what type of restaurant they were! The take home containers were very disappointing as well. However, we definitely would go again.

I would say @handynastynyc is a safe choice if you’re craving for Sichuan cuisine. It’s not particularly yummy but every dish is fairly solid. The service was also pretty great. I’m glad the Brooklyn location is so close to me so I can visit easily!

We always want to have spicy food when the weather is colder. This restaurant is our go to place. They can customize the spicy level according to your request. The food here is tasty but not over oily like some other sichuan restaurants. We only wish the portion a bit bigger.

I don’t normally write reviews, however I was very pleased with this place! It was open at 1 AM and the staff were extremely friendly. His name is Jose or Josue, guy with glasses. Ask for him! He even went through the menu with me and asked me about my allergies ( I have a nut allergy). The food was amazing and flavorful. Wish I had asked for the chef’s name! Han Dynasty is amazing!

Han Dynasty is a frequent stop for me, but I’m finding the recent quality of white rice to be so disappointing that it brings the whole experience down. My last two visits (one dine in and one take out) both had sub par quality white rice with no fluff, its not served warm enough and is quite clumpy.

I decided to try this place after a friend recommended it. I wish I’d have gone elsewhere. The service was great, which is an oddity in NYC nowadays. The spring rolls were good as well. However, the supposed 3/10 spicy entree I ordered was loaded with so many peppers it seemed more like 13/10. The pict is of the half of the peppers I didn’t eat. I grew so tired of pulling them out that I gave up and just ate them even though I couldn’t feel my face anymore. Also, the beverage menu is different than what is shown online, which is a big reason I ate here. I guess they don’t bother updating it.
