Go or No Travel Guide
First I will state the staff is very nice! Now on to the food I got a double cheeseburger there’s sandwiches are made of smash burgers. I got it with lettuce tomato onion ketchup. I was a little surprised when it was served because the plates have just enough room for the burger there’s no room to put ketchup on it nothing outside of that. As you can see they’re disposable plates which that’s not a problem but the size is questionable. The fries are deep fried shoestring fries they do taste like potato which is a plus because sometimes shoe strings don’t they’re pretty good. The burger was good it was a bit greasy and I will say don’t get it with the lettuce because they serve the yellowish parts of the lettuce which is not anything anyone wants to eat. The tomato was a bit questionable. If you’re somebody who eats burgers plain I would recommend you go for that. The area inside is rustic I guess you’d say they have a lot of memorabilia up for sports they also have a lot of license plates and things of this nature. The pricing is not bad it was $9 for the cheeseburger and $4 for the fries and then you pay for your drink separate as well. They have no combos everything is individual and separate. I would go back again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to do so.

This is exactly the kind of place you hope to find at the beach — laid-back, affordable, and easy consideration after a long day.
We had chili cheeseburgers, a chili dog, and an $11 pitcher of Yuengling, which is hard to beat. The food hit the spot, portions were solid, and everything came out hot and fast. Nothing fancy, just classic comfort food done right.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed — neon beer signs, TVs on, and a local hangout feel where you can actually slow down and enjoy yourself. Prices are fair across the menu, service was friendly, and it’s a great place to unwind without feeling rushed.
If you’re looking for a no-nonsense spot to grab a burger and a cold beer near the beach, this place delivers.

We had a really good experience here. Plenty of parking in the lot. Restaurant was very clean with great decor. I felt relaxed walking in and enjoyed my time there. There is a main dining area and a few tables outside the main area. The outside part is air conditioned. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything or to refill drinks.
The burgers were really good. Regular burger, no fancy name no super secret ingredients. Just a good burger cooked exactly how I asked. We also tried the wings. We were able to get half mild, half gold. Not a lot of places allow you to mix. Wings were very tender and crispy. I really liked the gold sauce which had a little kick.

Always the best burgers and wings on the beach. Never fail to stop in when around Myrtle Beach! The golden wing sauce is the best with its slow burn the longer you eat them.

Get the wings!! I know it’s a hamburger joint but the wings were amazing. Fries and onion rings were cooked really well, nice and crispy. The burgers were good, not great. We enjoyed our meal and would return. I remember being here about 7 years ago and the burgers were amazing but today they were just good.

I was new to this location. It has plenty of parking and was easy to find. It was summertime in Myrtle so we did have a wait. We had a great meal and our service was fantastic. We got a cheeseburger which was delicious, grilled chicken was moist, chili hot dog was yummy and a blt which was ok. Fries and onion rings were fantastic. My favorite is their coleslaw! It’s the best I have ever had. It’s a staple in Myrtle for a reason. A must go spot

We had to go here as we heard it was the best places for hamburgers. The hamburger was fine, but I cannot give the place high ratings because the choice for toppings was pretty lame. They did have onions, but not grilled onions. No mushrooms or jalapenos either. If you’re going to be “the best” burger place, you need all the best toppings! I’m also a BBQ sauce fan for my burgers and fries instead of ketchup. All they had was a vinegar based sauce which also is not a good option. All that said, I’d still go back. It’s just not the best burger joint in the area.

Super delicious wings. Their ranch is SO GOOD and so are their onion rings. It’s a go-to spot for my mom and I. It doesn’t usually get too busy on weekdays and all the waitresses/waiters are very nice and quick.

Great casual spot for a classic cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned — a satisfying, no-fuss meal. The laid-back, friendly atmosphere makes this a solid choice for a relaxed lunch or dinner in Surfside Beach. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re craving a good burger and great comfort food.

The name is Hamburger Joe’s, but I came in because the marque said “Best Wings on the Beach.”
After eating here, I think they’re right.
The wings were fried perfectly so the meat was tender and juicy but the outside was crispy. And you could tell they change their oil often enough.
The medium Buffalo sauce was mild if you’re from Upstate New York, but that’s a minor critique.
The fries were crispy and made from real tomatoes.
I’ll be back to try the burger, which looked very good as well.
Two thumbs
Highly recommended.
