Nice ambient place with a great American diner feel and look. Had a good stop for lunch. Had clam chowder, salad and bread. Had also the lasagna and burger. Overall great stop for a family lunch place.

I’ll admit right off that I selected to dine here because it required walking across a parking lot from my hotel room, and a two-mile drive here is 44 minutes. The menu was extensive, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I’m a life-long Philadelphian (where we have a “red-gravy” trattoria on every corner, and I don’t recall ever having good Italian food West of Harrisburg.) To be honest, Italian food is not very good in Harrisburg. I almost went for fried chicken (which I love) but was advised that my second choice, veal parm would probably be more to my liking. I’m glad I took the advice. First off, I was served REAL Italian bread like we get back East…crusty outside and chewy inside. My entrée appeared almost instantly (the kitchen HUSTLES) and Iwas flabbergasted by the portions. I was offered fresh grated Parmesan for the side of spaghetti (which was al dente, and served with a rich meat sauce – what we call gravy back home.) It could have been a meal on its own. The veal itself was pounded thin, delicately breaded, and was melt-in-your-mouth tender, sauced with a marinara. If I were a local, I’d eat here every week. Wish I’d had room to try a dessert.. But I WILL come back for breakfast tomorrow.

We went in for breakfast. We’re both regular guys so some of the places that are in the area is a bit out of our price range.

Nice little diner right off Highway. Very clean and well sanitized. Although it wasn’t very busy I was seated right away and giving my choice of places to sit.

Service was great. Friendly old school style diner. I had the burger and it was good, cooked as requested and I love the steak fries. My friend had the pasta carbonara and said it was delicious. Restroom was also clean, which I really appreciate when on a road trip. My new favorite spot in HMB.

My family ate at Joe’s multiple times during our stay in Half Moon Bay, and we all loved this place. Great food, great service and a nice old school Italian and diner feel. The menu is extensive with both American and Italian dishes, and everything we tried was excellent.
