On the main intersection at Washington and Madison Avenues is a local Halal restaurant.
Both appetizers were excellent! The wings are hot and crispy. While the shish kebob was also really tasty, it has an elongated appearance that looks similar to a specific body part (hence the main reason for a lower appearance rating).
While I was apprehensive about trying lamb, the green eggs & ham situation came into effect! As soon as I took my first bite, I was hooked as I devoured that platter!
The shawarma sauce is really creamy and it goes with anything and everything! You can either have it on the side or on top of your meal.
Some of the dishes, such as the chicken tikka and shish kebob, are cooked on the grill and it will take a few minutes longer. But it’s definitely worth the wait!
All in all, these Halal entrees are fantastic. The portion sizes are really large; in most cases, one serving will feed 2 parties. As I mentioned in previous reviews, come with an open mind and never judge a book by its cover.

The mix chicken and lamb platter is my go-to order, and it consistently tastes great. However, my one complaint is that when I request to put a lot of white sauce, the staff member stated that they had none left, which was a disappointment.

The food is good even though the portions are significantly less than before but the biggest issue is the service. The employees look miserable when they see customers walk in. Constantly wearing headphones on and talking out loud on their phone. Also if you’re paying 4 bucks more for a larger size, pls have a bigger container cause they used the same regular bowl and put half a scoop of rice into my “large” order and called it a day lol.

I got the mixed platter food is good , service is terrible one of the employees charged me a dollar for a soda, I went to get another drink. Which was an Arizona and wanted to charge me 3 dollars for an Arizona. The other employee was trying to scam me and I told him that a soda on the menu in the restaurant says it’s a dollar. And he told me prices increased which they did not he was trying to scam me.

The food here is great. The atmosphere and service are top notch. One thing I’d recommend anyone who is ordering the chicken and lamb over rice is to get more cucumbers. The most delicious bites were the ones with cucumbers mixed in, but sadly by default they don’t put much salad and cucumbers. But you can ask for it, so I’d recommend getting extra chopped cucumbers in there, it really goes well with the chicken and lamb and rice.
