The “Brew Rat”
This place is tucked away in Elkhart. You have to look for it. The food was decent. Nachos where good. The build your own tacos where a little bland plus you have to ask for sour cream and guacamole. Server was spot on. She did excellent.

This used to be one of my favorite places for lunch, but it’s just…food. Nothing special, not much flavor. I can do better at home. We went at lunchtime, and most of the customers were there for the drink specials and free chips and salsa. I understand having a fun time out, but it just seemed that drinking was a higher priority than food. The flavors were bland, the decor is dated. This place was better before they were a chain. I can’t recommend anything we had-it was that lacking in flavor.

Sat in the bar. Environment seemed very dirty in there. Booth wiped off but barely. Chips cold and stale. Waitress very friendly but when she brought out dinners she set mine down and I saw something as soon as she did. She said what wrong? I pulled a nasty hair out of my food as she stood there. She took it back immediately but left my husbands dinner. So we sit…..my husband eats because I do not want his to get cold. He completely finishes before she brings mine back. Now I’ve lost my appetite but she sees nothing wrong with this entire senecio. Tells me there’s a girl cooking with long ponytail. We were charged the full price for all of this wonderful, nasty food!! Way to go Hacienda customer service at its finest. No we did not say anything. Felt we should NOT have to, they knew what happened I wanted to see how they would handle the unfortunate situation.

Flavorless fajitas….taste like store bought tyson..ordered extra tortillas two dollars for four , assuming it came with one order ( only got one order ) and they were cold and tasted store bought too. Every Mexican restaurant ever ordered from sends complementary chips and salsa, not here, I do blame myself though, didn’t see they were a 3.9 rating, surprised it’s that high

It’s ok. Nothing knocks your socks off. Portion size has shrank. All the furniture has a texture like it could really use a deep cleaning, not just a superficial wipe down.
