Great low key and cozy neighborhood bar with tons of outdoor seating. We love stopping here before Cubs games for a beer and a free hot dog. Highly recommend for a chill night with friends or a pregame stop-in.

Loved Guthrie’s overall … but after re opening and new owners they “cleaned it up” . Didn’t seem as charming/warm this time. I will admit – in my current visit I did go during day – and it’s charm of Guthrie’s past truly came from the evening so will have to go back in the evening under new owners. Was there last night and girl bartender that closed needs to check her attitude. I ask if she can make a fun drink with Red Bull then she suggested vodka Red Bull. Obviously she was being lazy. Then I was like there’s nothing else you can make. Then she say’s sarcastic will your let me know what fun drink with Red Bull. Never again, worst service ever!

Very cozy bar, nice selection of board games. We played Sequence but could have chosen any game. The bartenders are nice and patient. Very nice selection of beer. Nice atmosphere, next time I want to sit in the north-most room, it looked well-lit and cozy. Will return! Cheap beer too, can’t beat it
