We were visiting from Portland, Oregon, and staying at the Hampton Inn in Urbandale, Iowa and we We’re hoping to have some delicious Ethiopian food and this place delivered! Not only with flavor and value and amount of delicious food, but they also actually delivered. They also included Dubai chocolate and orders of $25 or more, and that was a very sweet treat and a great way to end a delicious meal. Highly recommend and we will be eating here whenever we come to Des Moines. Thank you!

Gursha is amazing. Been coming here for years since they first opened years ago. Live in Ames north of DSM and I come to Gursha almost every time I come to DSM. My favorites are the doro wat, lamb, goat and kik Alicha wat. Worth visiting DSM for!

This was a surprising gem for a college town visit. Gurkha has fast food efficiency and design, with restaurant quality food and service. We ordered beef and vegetarian options and were impressed as everything was flavorful and fresh. The beef was particularly impressive as it was so tender. For two hearty meals, the prices are very reasonable. The owner and server were very friendly and we enjoyed the cultural themed ambiance. Would travel out of my way to eat here again!

I had the opportunity to go to Gursha last Tuesday and try it for the first time! It is the best Ethiopian food I have ever had, and it was the first time I tried it! So the bar is set very high! The service was very great and the Owner was very kind to us! The service was 10/10, just like the food! If you are ever in Des Moines or a Drake student looking to try new food, this is the place for you! The portions are huge if you like leftovers; this is the place to go!

Came here with some folks who had been here before, and I was really impressed! It was very reasonable price and the service was incredibly quick since it is done in the style of fast food.
I had the Missir Wot and Gomen which was very well made and had a very nice flavor! The Injura had a really great texture and held up really well.
