As for the food, I was most impressed with the pizza. Very flavorful, nicely crusted and great portion. The crispy onions on the charred potatoes were also a great touch, making it a lot more flavorful. The pasta, while tasty, was too small in portion, so it became unmemorable because I barely got to taste it. I would definitely try more pizzas here, and maybe one or two pasta dishes that piqued my interest.
Their focaccia bread with the platter of different toppings/spreads were so good. The snap pea caesar was delicious (great starter), the Rigatoni and Squid Ink Bucatini was pretty good. Their pizzas were amazing (especially the one with ricotta on top).
The restaurant was packed on a Friday night, so service and food were a bit slow. Make sure you make reservation. IT WAS SUPER SUPER LOUD. Hard to talk.
Gufo hits the nail on the head in every aspect.
1. Drinks – fantastic. I had the negroni and it was so beautifully made and crisp. The Saved By the Bell had this really nice herby taste with the great spiciness coming from the chile vodka.
2. Food – delicious. The asparagus was so well made, tender with a fantastic crisp. The cacio e pepe arancini balls were fried so nicely with a melty interior finish. The Dandelion Greens pizza was light, but creamy. The lemony sauce was so nice. The meatballs were home-y and filing, made you feel like you were eating a nice comfort meal. Finally the unpictured cavatelli was certainly the star of the show. Cooked to the perfect aldente setting with a nice crispy breadcrumb on top. The flavor was just delicious and unique. May have been my favorite part of the meal.
3. Ambience – the place is so well decorated on the interior and HUGE. Unexpectedly huge. You first walk in and see the semi outdoor space and bar, but around the corner is the main dining room and boy oh boy do they utilize the space well. The U shaped bar was very nice and they had a good amount of large tables for seating.
Great for groups, great for date night, great for drinks. You won’t be upset by your visit.
Very laid back atmosphere, easy going service . Good food. My favorite was pizza with mushrooms. We also had their appetizer platter with all 6 of them and they are good, meatballs are good as well.
Nice pasta selection, we tried three of them and they were all good. My list favorite was actually beans in the octopus dish, the octopus was great, but the beans were hard to eat.
We got a couple of the pastas for entrees that were good, but weren’t too impressive. The real standout for us was the mussels toast appetizer. The flavors were well balanced and complex. Overall a great dining experience.
Service was great and all the dishes were flavorful and most items had a touch of heat.
