So I am in Albany Georgia @ Guang Zhou Chinese Restaurant 1214 N Westover BLVD. I walk into restaurant to place a to go order at 8:30 pm. The front desk clerk tells me they stop taking orders at 8:30 pm but the they don’t close until 9 pm. I was a bit thrown off as I notice the lobby was full of customers. Not to mention the sign says they don’t close until 9:00 pm. I also notice the entire staff is Caucasian to include the customers. I ask the front desk clerk a question. Do you mean you don’t serve my kind at this hour? The young lady tells me to take it however I like but the kitchen is closed. I laughed and walked out. Went back in to address the manager who just so happens not to be working. Thanks Albany for reminding me of the south….

Menu has varied selection along with the drink menu. We went during lunch and the choices on the back of the menu were more bang for our buck. Fresh, hot and cooked to order. We will be returning.

My mother and I were in town for a doctor’s appointment. She and I both wanted some Chinese food. After searching for one with good reviews, we decided on Guang Zhou. We were immediately greeted upon entry, and seated shortly thereafter. We each ordered the house special. I can honestly say we could have easily shared one special. Plenty of food, great food, and excellent service.

The Potstickers are the best I’ve ever had. The portion of the entree is huge you have enough food for at least two meals. Friendly staff makes it a great lunch or dinner spot!

I walked in and ordered a hot and sour soup for my mom, as this is what she likes to eat when she is sick. Personally, I have never eaten here so I can’t speak on how the goods tastes, but the customer service was great and my order was so fast. I probably was in there 2 and a half minutes. I will return to try the food . I took a star away for the atmosphere, as it can get crowded fast in the front area.

I have eaten here for years and it was always my first choice. Tonight we ordered and they were not on point at all. Not good! They have cut corners with the fried rice. The food had a slight moldy taste. There were approx 5 pieces of meat in the quart container of beef chow mein and pepper steak. We will not be back! The last time we ate there was off but today was way off. Tighten up and quit cutting corners.

My dinner spot whenever I’m in Albany. Good food, nice size portions, friendly staff, what’s not to like? I like the Szechuan chicken or shrimp, they actually make it very spicy if you enjoy spicy food. For those less adventurous, they can make it with minimal spice.

Incredible experience. Waiter, Chip was awesome. Started with a very different appetizer. Sweet pickled veggies. Very tasty. Crab ragoons were just right. The main dish was shrimp and scallops in a brown sauce. Very nice. And, jazz music. LOL I’ll be back.

I was excited to try this restaurant being that the ratings were high and I was craving Chinese food. The total price of my plate was $14.95 and I barely ate a fourth of it. The chicken were too big & unappetizing; the rice wasn’t horrible but it’s also not the best. There’s also a sign in the store that states no refunds or exchanges so there was no way for them to make this right. The staff was courteous and the wait for my food wasn’t very long.
